  1. Ah but their enemies will drown in the blood Any luck thieving?
  2. If I had a crossbow, I would have given it to Alv or to Araris if I'm being honest. If I want to put the fear of Death in the Elims, I give a crossbow to Alv, assuming he's Village. (Or Illwei this game I guess since I V read her.) If I want to amuse myself, I give it to Araris because he's a bloodthirsty chullson and the idea of a murderous Pooh bear cocking a crossbow keeps making me laugh- Just me? No one else? Huh. Guess I'm sick then.
  3. No, I just figured that I don't have a soul but I have a vote again, so I can give you that as a replacement, right?
  4. Don't let me stop y'all from joining the Archer-da-fé and I for one greatly support it, but - it's not even near Rollovet yet and y'all want to mega-train? Seriously? What we gonna do with half the Day?
  5. It doesn't. That's the clarification I received from @Elandera , because imagine my personal confusion when I'm told: -You protected yourself successfully. Also, you're now insane. Me: Whut. Do I know why? Elan: Nope. Me: What happens if another SE protected me? Elan: I flip for it. Me: ...So what happens if another SE protected me and that SE's protection deflects an attack, do I go insane? Elan: I'm going to rule you only stay sane if it triggers Silver Bones. Any interaction with any other layer will still cause Broken Survivors. Obviously left out in the thread discussion because I was only going to claim when I was dead but Devo happened and things changed. I mean... I sure did... It's not suspicious. Merely a crime against humanity. Edited to add: Tbf, if he's SE as well, he has Silver Bones. In a way, you could argue he should be even more okay with it - because he wasn't going to die from a crossbow shot. Edited to add 2: Tbh it's even more kayana because why the hell would you want to retaliatory kill a Village vig so you could live. That's the one scenario you should not be protecting against, especially if you haven't burned Silver Bones. The point is that you want to trigger your protect against the NK so that there's a dead Elim or the Elims burn through their protection. I'll note that was my reasoning behind protecting abroad, by the way. Reasoned the Elims were not likely to go for Devo since she was the consensus protection choice, I couldn't self-protect, and anyway I had an extra life so whatever, so I went elsewhere. Not gonna name the player since again, that's a guaranteed kill.
  6. Interesting. That makes two of us. I'm a Shade Expert. I still have protection. And I self-protected on Night One. Probably implied by what I was saying earlier, but I want to make this clear. It's not impossible (?) depending on distro and crossbow numbers (?) But: Archer's claim makes two Shade Expert claims and two Silver Bones claims, all ostensibly Village. Edited to add: Have to confess that I feel there's a question about why one self-protects when you have - as a Shade Expert - Silver Bones, so a guarantee you would not die anyway, and could protect someone else. Even if he'd claimed to have protected me N1, going for Devo or another clear Village read seems a logical choice. Edited to add 2: Shame on you, being this way to dai-senpai :eyes: For Alvron, "new player" probably means whippersnappers who joined in LG7 and LG5 like you and me
  7. Ah got it. Three player SB team with additional member is plus ca change no?
  8. Oh that one. I actually forgot it existed. Carry on?
  9. Just to confirm, this is about Archer yeah? Because DeTess was asking about Archer, Aman be dead already @DeTess The one thing I will say is E!Archer builds up over time. His goal isn't to be Village leader, it's to be there in late midgame to endgame to take over as control kills paralyse the Village. Anyway sidething but yes, sorry, know I'm phoning it in with little analysis/work but I'd overextended C1 trying to bait them to kill me and I never planned on surviving to beyond C3. I just need to rest for a few more hours then I will try something. Can't carry on rn.
  10. Humour me? I did take a look at it, but I'm also recovering from the plague and thinking of asking for a pinch-hitter because I am struggling to carry on. My view is that there's nothing substantive but I've never really expected that from Alv - our constructive V!side cooperations always happened in PMs so I'm not terribly surprised. I guess I'd put it this way: he's still in nulls for me so I have no objection, though I'm more suspicious of Araris for reasons that have to do with the plausibility of certain actions. But I'm struggling to understand a mindset that goes - I think X is more likely to be Elim than Y, but I'm going to lynch Y for the crime of posting pretty much nothing. I'm here to kill Elims, not Villagers, so things that make a player more likely to be Evil gets my attention.
  11. Yes. @Illwei IDK I'm not fluent in MU I think you describe him as a power wolf sometimes? When he's less busy with hockey? I am confused at the juxtaposition between these two statements.
  12. Sorry, to be more specific - as was obvious, the SE protect was on neither me nor on Devo last Night for Reasons. I will also be fairly surprised if the player who it had protected shot Sart last Night but I suppose stranger things can happen. Given the protect exhaust, naming the player isn't constructive here. And thanks for the PMs, Sart and the other Writers. I will never turn down more, but I don't need to keep asking for them - it was just honestly a decent way to annoy the Elims, seeing the numbers of times Archer/Stick/Araris/TJ et al. seem to dislike the idea of me getting my hands on PMs I think the only unfortunate part is that due to limited info in this game, it's necessary to figure out what went down.
  13. No one triggered Village valenced SE last Night. Edited to add: @DeTess The reason I feel Evil SE is a tad OP is that it trivialises Village SE protects as it can beat them and be recycled. It only dies if someone shoots a protected Elim with a crossbow and you can see from the distros last game that there was just one. And I believe crossbows are oneshot?
  14. Possible, but worth noting Sart's not the most chatty guy in PMs. Or, you know, he just hates me. Also possible. Have never been able to get more than three messages out of him. I think this iteration is different enough it's difficult to say, because I was looking at the comp for the games before this, and it was: LG76 - Two Worshippers [=Cultists], Danforth (special role - immune to insanity but 20% action failure chance), Shade Expert (different flavour, only protects v. Shade attacks)/Silver Bones [here] LG60 - Dagon's Will [=Cultist but additional ability for a one-shot convert under specific circumstances], Deep One (immune to insanity, can make a player insane once a Turn, takes 33% of votes to lynch, 25% chance of kills failing on Deep One), Founder (immune to insanity but 20% action failure chance) [here] So the Elims historically had (technically) one to two roles immune to insanity. Village-side, the corresponding numbers are: LG76 - 2x Iron Will LG60 - 2x Iron Will So there's a chance that the Elim team might have had another but unclear. (For curiosity's sake - three Silver Bones in LG76, two of which were attached to Shade Experts. I know of three Silver Bones in this game. @DeTess How many Shade Experts do you think there are? My view is this isn't an Elim-aligned role because then Silver Dust loses value. Two Silver Bones in LG60, alongside the Deep One. That's about it.) Fair point. I would further add that I believe the Elim team may have a second player with Iron Will, just for a touch of redundancy, but it's not confirmed. It just feels otherwise that once you lose your DK the first time, your team is then stuck with potential insanity if you trigger Wrath even if you survive? IDK.
  15. Sorry, Araris. Still struggling to make my mind up about you. To me, this means we are actually looking at three kills no matter what. 1. Elim kill on me. (I regret I only had but one extra life to give for the Village!) 2. Crossbow kill (?) 3. Wrath kill (?) I guess there's a world in which an Elim spellbook user gets Sart to target me with a redirect, Sart happens to be using a crossbow, and dies to Wrath through sheer bad luck. IDK. Wrath was very clearly triggered, so IDK. I need a tea and some more meds before trying to theorise.
  16. I can add one more piece to the puzzle (Sorry, really had a rough day/night due to sickness, am back now.) ...I got attacked Three complications: 1. I claimed Glowsap to someone I didn't fully trust (sorry ) - but I would not be surprised if an Elim tried to target me anyway 2. I don't really believe any reasonable Village crossbowman would attack me after the events of N1-D2. 3. I lied I was trying to see if I can bait a second Elim shot at me for the doubletap. I have Silver Bones. Well, had. And to clarify - no, I asked Elan D2 when I was trying to work everything out. Silver Bones only protects me from insanity if Silver Bones is triggered. So if I'm attacked and the attack doesn't touch Silver Bones, then welp. Edited to add: Sorry - uh, 4. - Entailment. I probably got hit by the Elim kill unless someone did something insane with a spellbook targeting me and a crossbow player which, you know, also sounds kind of Elim-like because why the chulls would you randomly hit me with a redirect if you don't know how it works. Edited to add 2: The % indeed means that Wrath was triggered, which means there are several possibilities: -The Elim kill was unlucky and triggered the Wrath % -The Sart kill triggered the Wrath % -As someone speculated, a retaliatory kill was triggered, which reset the Wrath %. The fact we only see one death suggests it hit someone with Silver Bones, a protect and Iron Will, or, you know, Alv @Archer - was the Sart kill you? Since Alv disowns it.
  17. Perhaps. But there's a big gap in my head between where Devo is and every other tier, but you've seen it when I do more conventional reads lists. I'm reluctant to promote to Moderate Village, have low thresholds for V lean, and require a bit more for Light Village. I'm saying that I quantify that as a Light Village read which still means things like not breaking opsec for that player
  18. That's...not very high? Also pure vibes. Plus, now that even Aman has shanked me C1, probably the only last buddy I have left who wouldn't do that >:( *I'm joking for the meme and because somehow I find it really funny Aman went for the revenge C1 shot But in all seriousness – LG89 Elim docs. I absolutely believe E!JNV would NK me but they've explicitly asked their teammates for an N1 embargo on killing me before. Likely this will die one game when I must be N1ed but I think it's a decent tell for now. That and the dgaf of their posts. Angemon isn't that high tbh. And it's only N2.
  19. What do you have going for Sart? I still want to V!read him but feel a bit less confident at this juncture. Edited to add: Ok I really tried to force myself to finish updating my reads for the Night as usual just in case but in all honesty I'm doing worse health-wise so. I'll see how far I can get. - Kas (I'm Seraphimon!) - Devo - JNV, Sart, DeTess, Steel, Illwei - Araris???, Mat, Aloha??? - Tbh everyone else I'm sorry I can't do this right now. - Aman /sad Patamon noises Yeah sorry. That's it for me.
  20. I don't disagree, but then it's complicated by certain popular suspicions like Archer who simply wasn't there. Yeah. Does that stop her? I ask this in all seriousness. I think in some situations, "No reason to do X" stops a player from doing X. I'm not sure this is one of them. Edited to add: Like the situation I was thinking of - E!Turtle claiming Fenweed Sap and handing it over. Zero reason to. Did it anyway, didn't stop them. Edited to add 2: I'd add there's a layer of IKYK complicated by Aman obviously deliberately choosing to announce the silver dust and drawing attention to it, which raises questions about whether the team knew and some of them held off (seems reasonable.) I don't feel they'd all expose themselves just to get it back, and I think that it's very likely Elan gave them a bit of redundancy but not too much.
  21. I mean, I'll give you this: it'd add plausibility to the fakeclaim from Aman because no one knows who anything is being passed from. Edited to add: Then who cares, it was worth it, anyway you just missed some True Crime Serials and you didn't get lynched! It's all good!
  22. Was it good hockey? Did it spark joy?
  23. Given it's one of the pieces of protection the Elims started with, be nice to know if it ended up back in their hands, or is gonna get lost. Be interesting to see who pushes Araris, and who hops trains if they're interested in it. Wrath is really something that the Elims disproportionately worry about next to the Village. Good to have an eye on it. Yeah I was kinda thinking that came out from a more Village perspective but again, that's because I kept forgetting it and re-learning it from my questions to Elan about the rules. Is it the one asking why E!you don't just fakeclaim SE because it gets everyone off Aman's back
