Absoultely love Rothfuss writing style between character development and the magic system he created I am in love with his books. Only 2 but the anticipation is killing me.. How cool would a Rothfuss/Sanderson teamup be??!!

Cool great thanks!

My favortie is King Iadon..He's kind of lay lows but secretly has a hand in everything. He was clever enough to arrange spies in the city that werent his own people. Sneak his Seon in and seem to have knowledge of this events the whole time. Smart guY?? Some wierd powers?? or Worldhopper?

So I dont know if people have already posted about this.. I didnt see it on first glance but this has to be one of my Favorite Fantasy Novels of All Time. I read the first 2 Name of the Wind, and Wise Man Fear twice over and thiers alot of little tid-bits and im finding some secrets I missed before. Is anyone else Love KVOTHE also?? And who else is excited for book 3?

I agree with most of the above comments. I believe it depends on the strength of the awakener and breaths. (remember not all breaths are the same strength as well) So when awkening having a clear visual and audio command so obviously you can do it wrong and have the command refused or work improperly.

Yes found it.. thanks thats helpful and cool comment by Brandon " I know I said he wouldn’t come back, but . . . well, he’s Kelsier. He doesn’t listen to what I say. He just does what he wants" ROLF

Which Shardworld would you most like to live on?
Shardmancer replied to TheShogun's topic in General Brandon Discussion
you have to think of this question in the current status.. Out of the current world Roshar is enganed in a huge war which will soon reach global proportions (nowhere will be safe).. Nathlis not being as bad is corrupt being a drab would just suck. As for current Scadrial is the most enlightened world. WIth a democratic governement system and more equal rights for all systems (still with all the cool magic). \ Also out of all the worlds it seems mostlikely that you could snap and gain some sort of allmancy.. Rather than acculate multitude of breaths or become a KR or any other sht like that -
Kurkistan I dont believe that is the correct link.. I am curious as to where exactly this is explained in the books.. That link was to Spook chapters

[Theory] The flaw in Taravingian's plan
Shardmancer replied to Wysawyg's topic in Stormlight Archive
Perhaps the Diagram forces all of the KR to team up against him.. Him being the focal point is what evenutally unites everyone against him.. So him thinking hes saving the world his way actually somehow brings other to save the world (making him the catalyst) Perhaps he was the original mastermind being Gavalair death- we do know he talked to him beforehand and knew of his plans.. he was smart enough to manipulate to Parshendi.. -
I see all this talk about Kelsier being a sliver.. I dont see where exactly in the trilogy it explains when he held the power.. or when he reached that greater level??

It almost borders on the Steelheart syndrome where people start turning evil from abusing or overusing. Perhaps the Comsere is falling into that slowly
-
Hoid has a lot of illusionary powers.. Vin and her ablilites to pierce copper clouds.. could cross over to percieving slight differences in light manipulation or perhaps even detcet breaths or color distortion through breaths that Hoid held. Either way Hoid has powers and Vin is good at deceting stuff- and not the one to fall into traps..
-
You had to enjoy the banter between her and lightson.. i early awaited thier encounter everytime.. Her trying to seduce him, and him being unphased was great part of the book
-
HAHA well we all are Cosmere Addicts here.. thats should go without saying
-
Thats not a bad theory.. Ruin and Preservation worked together to create.. I dont see why 2 shards cannot be involved in this type of investiture.. maybe the different powers reflect different intents.? Quote Could be something there?
-
So it seems to me.. especially after reading Stormlight achrives that there are addicts all over the cosmere. Mistborn it is pretty blatant watching Vin, Spook and the rest that using allomancy is addictive. Now in WOR you can obviously see that stormlight addiction can grow to have a problem.. from Svzeth actively overdoing it. It seems Kaladin with his personality will soon overuse it and all of these KR will soon be addicited. Do you think thats the fall of the KR was them overusing and addictevly using thier powers till they werent in control? And do you think this addictive theme will be common in Sanderson's other books?

The Returned are of Endownment.. Part of them is invested. And since as everyone on Nathlis has breath.. (except for drabs) There is some type of investment in everyone

The is an intresting connection Kobold... having fractured memories and sentience is defiantly an underlying plot withthin all his stories. As well as stories being changed and things not being the way they seem. So having some strange spiritual connection can definatly effect cross-cosmo world (we do know that there will be crossovers in the future) So why not some returned spren nahel bond.. hmm

This is an intresting theory.. but I do think sometimes Sanderson put characters that are not special. Obvious Tien has a huge signifigance and affects Kaladin in a major way but I dont believe he had to manifest powers or someone have abilites. I believe there probably something special about the Planet rather than the people. Setting is a major factor in this book especially in nature (as per spren) involvment in all aspects. These rocks just symbolize how everything has soul and essense much like in Japan (shintoism) but some people are more adept at understanding this and being able to see these things in nature, The closet ill go on this is Tien is like a mini-rock in seeing spren.
