  1. Well, I assumed the earring was a spike to begin with. So reusing it as a spike would make it a compounded spike, no? Although you'd need to steal the same ability, I suppose...
  2. Leecher. One touch and you're powerless.
  3. What Weiry said; the thing is, it's impractical to use two Shardblades at once. Why would you need it, when one is enough to kill people with ease? And dual-wielding weakens your blows (one hand for one blade) which means it's not too useful even against enemy Shardbearers, unless you're going all-out and your opponent is significantly weaker, to the extent that you don't need to fear a counterattack. Easier to just use one blade, find an opening and hit as hard as you can. If anything, I could see it being used as an element of surprise. Hide one Blade, and then summon it when everyone thinks you only have one. I can see it being very handy in foiling assassinations. Or in making people lower their guard. "You can trust me! See, my Shardblade is there, on the floor! If it disappears you have ten heartbeats to run away before I can attack you!" "Well, I suppose I don't have to worry then, even if you are trying to take my princedom for yourself! Now, let's sit down and discuss the conditions of your surrender... WAITWHYTHECREMDOYOUHAVEANOTHERSHARDBLADE-" Edit: Gavilar's blade, Firestorm is likely an unbonded Shardblade. It does belong to Elhokar, but I think it's not actually bonded to anyone.
  4. I'd say so, yes. Nalthian humans are interesting, in the sense that they can give up a portion of their soul - one could almost call it self-induced Hemalurgy. Scadrians are unique in the sense that they have more of one parent Shard than the other, which I think is not the case for Rosharans, and perhaps even those on Sel. And then there's the physical differences; Scadrians apparently look more European, while Rosharans have epicanthic folds.
  5. Maybe you're just burning the wrong mix of metals
  6. I think Vengeance would be more Dominion + Odium. Anyway, I think Odium's intent can only be changed if someone else takes it and another Shard at the same time, like Honor. So it's possible that they may try to reforge Honor, and then either give to someone to fight Odium, or beat Odium according to the rules of the Oathpact, and then merge both Shards together. Together, I suspect it'd create something like Justice, which would be more than enough to prevent the new Shard from running around destroying worlds.
  7. Tell her at least you didn't try to use your Lightweaver powers and just send an illusion there like you did last time
  8. I was going based on the idea that the exact middle is the sword itself, and that the embellishments were the outer parts. Although you might have a point - symmetry is pretty big in Vorin culture after all.
  9. When you embrace your inner Elend and bring books (okay, fine, a book!) to a function because your relatives are far less interesting than ugly crab-lizard things and a book isn't.
  10. Disclaimer: This theory will mostly be based on the assumption that the Radiants' order glyphs were based on the Honorblades of their patrons. Anyway, I think that the Honorblades have an 'uncharged' and 'charged' form, and that it reverts to the former under circumstances I have yet to determine. For example, note that Taln's Honorblade was akin to a giant spike. This corresponds to the Stonewards' glyph, which shows a spike-like blade in the middle: However, Jezrien's Honorblade does not look like his Honorblade. We have this, and then we have these two: They clearly do not match. Therefore, I propose that they have at least two forms, which may be related to why the Honorblades consume Stormlight. Perhaps it requires the Investiture to turn into its 'charged' form, and in the process perhaps improve one's ability to hold in Stormlight + other esoteric skills.
  11. Back on topic - when you catch a flight back home, land when it's raining heavily and the first thought in your mind is 'did a highstorm just pass by?'
  12. That was actually a quote by Artemis Entreri, but ah well.
  13. Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition... Also, if you can find something funny for Ketek, I would appreciate it.
  14. "Everyone dies. It is how one lives that matters." Get it? Get it? No? Okay
  15. It is absolutely delightful to see you eating Vegemite like that. Yes... let the hate snap you...
  16. Amusing, but it'd be better as a sig. And Swim has this... swimmingly feel no one can replicate.
  17. I'll stick to butter and jam, thank you very much. *judges everyone else*
  18. Don't you worry, don't you worry child...
  19. YOU HATED DANGEROUS?! But it was awesome! Silver Moonlight is totally awesome though. Always brought Szeth to mind for me. Strange that you dislike Delain - they're sister bands (ex-WT member founded the latter) so I've always had the impression that if you liked one, you'd like the other.
  20. You will not stop our mistress, the Queen of Blades!
  21. No eagles. I call fake! Being Chinese, I shall sit back too. While multiplying. And multiplying. And multiplying. We are zerg. We are the Swarm. Infinite. Eternal. Immortal. And we will cover the entire world...
  22. You may know him as Lestibournes, the character who was supposed to false face as the Gray King Lord Renoux's heir before Vin stepped in.
  23. With its Freedom Spear, bringing democracy to those damnation Commies!
