Finished MoI last night. Absolutely SUPERB on a 2nd read. There is so much sprinkles in this one for things yet to come my mouth was watering! Onto bk4 House of Chains!

Holy rust just read a 10 pg pov section that had me DYING to hurry up and get to bk 4,5,8 & even FOD... I completely bow down to Erikson!

I didn't have that problem but I read as they released so I devoured them shortly after getting in excitement. We ll see if I have any trouble this time but I'm going to read ICE as well.

I honestly could care less about the Solo flick.... atleast Daisy is now expanding her career away from Star Wars and will star in Murder on Orient Express.

Don't leave it to long. So much could slip away. Plus just note Ando won't say which they are when you get to bk 5 you ll be introduced to 2 many fans favorite characters of the series.

My Malazan & other reading time has been cut so much since summer started and my all out binge watching to finish Twin Peaks. I had hoped to be on bk 4 about a week ago but alas I'm only just shy of pg 600 so still have a ways to go. I'm also really surprised... I haven't skipped a bit of Myhbe arc at all. I hated her on 1st go but not minding one bit on 2nd.

I hate when threads move so slow! Anyway I have completely caught up with Twin Peaks as of today. I can't reco this enough if you want a dark comedic make fun of soap operas soap opera!! Now I can begin to start House of Cards S5 anytime I choose and then OitNB S5 starts on the 9th however I'm still extremely pissed at Netflix for canceling Sens8 this week so I hesitate on getting on there in protest atm. Will probably just try to thin my dvr for a day or 3.

Just S1&2 on Netflix. Movie and Return are on Showtime. Give it time and Net will get them like most Showtime series.

Holy crap I'm loving the rust out of Twin Peaks:The Return! Currently on part 3 now. I should warn people that have problems with things like language or nudity that both the movie Fire Walk With Me & Return have it as it moved on from cable tv after season 2. Some maybe turned off with this info.

That's the entire point. It's purposely done to make fun of Soaps.

Finished S2 Ep 21&22 & Fire Walk with Me of Twin Peaks today. Will prob start Return later on. Fire was so good and dark and creepy without the restrictions of cable tv. The R rating was able to get the point of how troubled some of these characters truly were.

Yep it's much more of the series reread nuggets rather then it just clicking in your head on 1st read.

Fairly confident I know which specific scene your talking about. I only read bk 1 of that. The Kovacs 3 are practically porn and I've joked with friends upon learning that's being filmed that the only way to do it justice would be to make it an adult X film lol. I would def reco to stay away from these if you have problems.

A lot of the Malazan sex is just implied. From what I remember Bakker goes into detail. Also if you don't like sex never read Richard Morgan lol. Massive detail but massive fun story.

Do we have any members fluent in Polish? If so and they have read the original Witcher books how is the translation for these books that are recently coming out States side? I'm really curious to read these now I'm playing W2.

Stay away from those. Someone may give stuff away ahead of its proper time which would for this particular series would verge close to a criminal act Imo. It will payoff being as clueless as possible.

Karris will most definitely ground out over time. She is hardest to care about at 1st. Liv also. Patience. I doubt you ll feel this way in a bit. Though a lot of that with Karris is because of her color. not going to say much more but if think Kip the Lip has a run away mouth in bk 1...just wait. You ought to get many giggles down the road.

I took special interest in the Chiss for sure. That being said I couldn't for sure say exactly when the stuff like the mineral info came out cause that was a lot of books and events just kind of jumble together now days but I'm wanting to say it was revealed sometimes in NJO during Jacen and Danni Qui's visit to the Fel's on Cislla. they were definitely a lost colony ship of humans that were changed over thousands of years till we were introduced to them. think about how terrifying it would seem to someone if a Chiss with glowing red eyes with light saber was coming towards them. Jedi or Sith... there was a female dark sider under Dooku I think in a comic but not very well known or fleshed out.
