The 1st 2 Shadowmarch bks were good as well but I stalled out on bk3 it took a long time to finish and I've tried twice now to start bk4 but I don't have the desire to keep going when I start it and always pick another from the tbr pile. One day I will. I also really liked the 1st Bobby Dollar. It's no Dresden but it was def a solid intro for Williams 1st Urban Fantasy attempt.

I'm always way to paranoid to mention my ideas on forums for fear that my ideas will be taken some way. I used to love to write but since my kids were born that's been cut down to no writing at all the past decade. I applaud you for sharing. It does sound interesting.

Final Fantasy's are my fav series. I'd say checkout the Infinity Blade games also though they aren't jrpgs.

Regarding the last 2 post: Gene Wolfe is one of my all time favorite authors hands down. His New Sun bks were my 1st and I loved them. Prepare to have a dictionary handy though cause that man is complex. Also his Latro set were awesome. I also enjoyed Wizard/Knight. Brent Weeks is so groovy and this is a perfect time to read those 2 since bk 3 is just 2 weeks or so away. Enjoy!

Great choice. Enjoy Malazan and then come join our forum. I just looked at my copy of Recluse 1. I'm on pg 270 for the past 2 yrs. I put it down cause it was rather boring. I ll shave to restart if I ever pick it up cause I barely remember it.

Thieves was my least fav I wish I hadn't paid full HC $ for it. I will def wait for the PB of bk4 unless it just has stellar reviews.

Busted out all those Final Fantasy PS1 remakes. Currently playing FF2 -
Saw it tonight and LOVED it. I read many times we wouldn't see something till phase 3 and when they showed it my mouth fell open. Way to keep that tight lipped movie makers! That was a true treat to see that part!

Not one neg reaction from my Malazan people so far. It's been all solid praise from those that have seen it.

I've heard it's the best marvel movie out. If it is that ll be a huge turn around cause people were dreading this in my circles when trailer #1 came out.

I started Judias Unchained and I got quite upset just reading the DP as it reveals spoilers right off the bat. That just made no sense to me since I just read 1K pgs in bk1 for it to be dumped on me like that. Oh well it's still a fun read.

Everything I'd reco is already listed. Shadows of the Apt series, Codex Alera, Dragonlance. I'd also say Greg Keyes 4 bks starting with The Briar King. Oh and maybe Katherine Kurtz's Deryni bks. I don't think she had any sex in the 2 I read of her though it's been awhile now.

This reminds me of when SG1, SGA, and BSG were new on Fri nights in SyFy hey days. My wife hated those 3 long hrs but I was like a happy 7 yr old boy with a new toy.
