    Sure enough had another LD 5 days from last on the dot. I was successful talking to my Sub. That was a strange exp I must say. I'm still at the point that I'm to excited and wake up when I manage to have one. I've read that goes away in time.

    You should. 4 is the one where it just gets insane but it comes together nicely at the end. Bk 5 is my 2nd fave of the 6. 6 is kinda sad cause you can tell he was trying to get to a major game changer for the next bk but he died before that passed. Give them a read

    Cool. Dammit I knew I was forgetting a series. Dune!! Epicness in the original 6 bks. I read them in 2001. I did read the 2 bks based on his notes to finish up the story but I will never read any of the other bks by them.

    Nope. One of my reality checks is holding my nose and trying to breath. That was a cool sensation. My next goal is to talk to my Sub and ask it if it will help me out to LD more often.

    I've been keeping a journal since Dec 22 to help in my quest to become an LD. In this time I've gone from barely remembering my dreams to recalling about 3 a night. It's also been to the T I ll have an LD once every 5 nights. On those nights I train and have since flown and gotten good at TK. Wonderful exp!

    I'm not a huge SF reader. I do own every Star Wars EU bk. I'm still sad about that big blow In 2014 I read 5 of Hamiltons Commonwealth bks and LOVED them. Also read the 1st 3 Expanse bks by James Corey and I liked them even more then CW. They are great fun and I'm looking forward to the show. That's about the lunit of my SF, I did buy the 1st Hyperion bk by Simmons as a few reco that on Malazan board. Anyone here care to comment on it? I read his Troy on Mars bks a few yes ago. LOVED bk 1 but really let down on bk 2.

    They are not YA books no. Regular Fantasy but very toned down on language and sex compared to his Dresden books.

    Hard to say without spoilers but it's a typical farm boy to ultimate badass story stared by a challenge that Butcher couldn't write a story based on a Roman Legion and Pokemon. Flaws: mostly in bk 1 just because its all Farmboy trope and some might say the Hogwarts/school/academy arcs. Bk 2 is when it starts to pick up.

    I loved my EU collection and was super bummed in a way when the new movies were announced cause I knew all the yrs and $ I put in were going to be reset. Now new books are coming out but I'm dead set on not buying any of them because in 25 yrs when Ep X-XII comes out they ll be rebranded Legends 2. I'm not going through that twice lol.

    Oh hell yes I can back you on that. Max became my fav character almost immediately after he was introduced. He becomes even better on the 2nd read through of Alera!

    Titan is fun on Striker with the shoulder charge. I don't use the defender at all. Noaw if you like snipers you need to do a a Hunter with Arcblade so you have options to go invisible.

    Why would you disagree when OP says it's on their list to read though? I will admit that I had to look up this scence from WB cause I didn't remember it at all. Also I just recently reread Alera and it's not vulgar I thought. People get together yeah but it's all offscreen except kissing and flirtation. Bk 2 may have an uncomfortable moment with a minor character but it easily skip able. I found it all rather high schoolish esp compared to the Jordan "wish fulfillment" WoT.

    Finished 1st Man in Rome last night. Kinda epic I'd say. It was stealler! I'm jumping right into bk 2 The Grass Crown.

    That was by far my least fav Malazan bk! I struggled to get through it which was just crazy compared to me devouring all the others.

    I finally put Adv Warfare in the PS4 after buying it for Xmas for my son. I prefer Destiny... The AI is just dumb. At least in Destiny they have a wider range and occasionally jump or run out the way. Not so in Adv so far though I only made it to 2nd lvl.

    500+ pgs in 1st Man in Rome by Colleen Mchulah and it just extremely epic imo! I can't put it down!

    I can't say I liked this one. It was very meh and not in the same cat as 1 & 2. I hated those few Locke age 5-7 Arcs. Wow they were horrible to me.

    SGU was just getting going when they axed it. Made me so mad it was only 1 season. Sigh

    Are yall talking about the Legion movie with the Angels from a few yrs ago? If so SyFy did a series this yr called Domion.

    It's hard to explain but it's the truth with this series. Some of it is because this book was written as a screenplay for a film and then when that fell through it was mildly touched up for a bk release. It is written way different then any of the 10 and from 2 on it gets the novel treatment. This might not sound like that big a deal(it wasn't for me, I loved bk 1) but for some its down right strange and hard to follow. People need to read bk 2 to get a better understanding of Erikson. I've never told anyone to skip bk 1 cause it has great setup for the series and is the introduction for a handful of characters in this vast saga.

    Omg. Just turned on the news and so far 145 deaths at a school in Pakistan... Assholes man...truly horrible.

    I'm still hardcore invested in Destiny. It's the PVP man it's fun. The DLC is alright once but you have to do it all over for charc 2-3 and it's the same rinse and repeat from the main game. Sigh. That PVP is fun though.

    Yeah I know. I'm sure most of my feelings is just me getting older for sure. I had massive issues with Republic of Theives in the young Locke arc as well.
