  1. Next question. Is Zephrer still in the Heritage Doc? The Teullu should have been protecting Dow, so there should have been a life lost. I don't know how the bribes went, but if we keep fighting amongst each other, Discovery may actually win this. Discovery, that was a brilliant ploy yesterday, to keep us all fighting amongst each other by thinking that the other faction had allied with you. Looks like it worked too. Also, announcement: I'm going to be largely inactive for the remainder of the game, so do what y'all want as long as you don't separate Araris and I. To be honest, we just aren't that useful to anyone anymore. At this point in the game, it's the roles that count. I'll pop on long enough to maybe participate in the lynch, but don't expect commentary or planning out of me.
  2. A lot of this comes down to worldbuilding (of course, for me, everything comes down to worldbuilding ). So, some questions to ask: how prevalent is magic? It sounds like it's very prominent, but how much access does the average Joe have to it? This will determine a lot of things. If everyone and their dog has magic, then the safeguards that the bank has in place can't be the type that a little simple magic from anyone could break through. This, in turn, men's that our intrepid adventurers must have access to significant resources (not to mention ingenuity) to be successful, because all of the simple tricks won't work. Next question: what are the limits if the magic? That is, what can it not do? Is it a power limit - I can't make my paper unreasonably strong, no matter what I bind it to - or are there limits to how much can be done at once - if I bind more than x things together in a day, then I run the risk of exhaustion out death (risking death is always good in an action novel), or are there other, perhaps more esoteric limits? This can help give more guidelines as to what could be done to defend and also to defeat the defenses.
  3. Sorry Eowyn. I really thought that you were discovery. Zephrer played me very well. Well done, Bort and dowanx, for figuring out shallan was a striker. I suspected towards the end of last cycle, but wasn't sure. So, the last discoverers are Zephrer and Alvron. Well played game, but you can't hide anymore. I will assume that heritage got zas as their bribe. We got kipper, meaning moderation is likely a defunct faction. I should note that with 3 players, discovery now holds the swing vote for the lynch.
  4. Going to graduate in a year with a double Bachelor's Degree: a BS in Physics with a professional emphasis, and a BA in Religious Studies. My undergraduate research is in wormholes for Physics and the historiography of Mormonism and science for Religious Studies.
  5. Changing your tune, paranoid king? Last time I checked, you said dow was the striker. We in heritage didn't know for sure who it was, so I doubt discovery did. On the subject of Discovery, I happened to have a kill order at my disposal last cycle, since our dearly departed friend Aonar didn't use it before he died. I placed it on Eowyn. She obviously didn't die, so she either really is a diplomat (unlikely), or she is discovery (which I rather strongly suspected). Either that, or kipper roleblocked me last cycle. Kipper, would you confirm who you roleblocked last cycle? And if Eowyn is still in the doc?
  6. Actually, pause on mine for a bit. I'd like to see the end of this game first, and update my stats accordingly...
  7. I like that. I may have to use it.But in all seriousness, sometimes SE is like that. Sometimes you're the Eliminators and the village is moving heaven and earth to find you and can't because you've hidden too well. On the other hand, that same situation can be really frustrating and depressing as a villager. (Go take a look at the Anniversary Game) Our sometimes you're a villager and you find one Eliminator and the votes from that lead you to catch the whole clan. That feels good, unless you are on the Eliminator team. The trick to having fun with Sanderson Elimination is to find ways to enjoy all of these situations. Maybe you're an Eliminator who has been found out, so you start paying with people's heads (like Wyrm), or you start a roleplay about how awesome the scene is when the actually catch you (Mail did that in the Barrow Barons game - I'll link when I'm not on mobile), or maybe you just wrote things down in your notes do that you can be better at hiding next time you're an Eliminator. But the best trick to enjoying it all, both the losing times and the winning times? Make the people your friends, so that you can laugh with them when you're losing because they played a great game, or just got crazy lucky. Abd they'll laugh with you when you're winning for the same reasons. Anyways, that's my 2 cents. EDIT: Spelling!
  8. The only ways Adamir could be wrong would be if he were a Discoverer or if he were a Svordish Diplomat that had somehow been lucky enough to get correct results on every scan so far. This is scan number 4 for him, so we have a 1 in 27 chance of this streak of luck happening if he were Svordish. I find PK being an actual Discoverer far more likely. And if not, then we lynch Adamir. Simple conclusion. And Bort, yes, I like a lynch on Clanky this cycle and both of our strikers hitting PK. Unless we can come up with a better suspicion for the two remaining discovery members (from the potential list of Zephrer, Alvron, phattemer, and Eowyn), in which case our striker will target one of them and your striker can target PK. Two spooked Discoverers is better than one dead one.
  9. Let's see. Our biggest suspicion is paranoid king right now, as we gave pixie the rememberered striker role last cycle and she hit clanky with it. That cycle is actually bothering me. There should have been two kills each on clanky and haelbarde. Your striker, our Striker, neo's kill, and the remembered striker kill. Kipper roleblocks your striker kill. Fine. So clanky should live and haelbarde die. But haelbarde lives. So who blocked the kill? You said that Joe didn't roleblock anyone, to avoid accidentally doing just this. So did the moderation reseller try to protect a discoverer? We'd ask orlock, but he hasn't been on. Actually, ask Araris what moderation was doing last round, and if clanky and haelbarde actually did conf out as discoverers
