  1. Alright, so that really IS a new card! Which is both pretty awesome and kind of disturbing!
  2. YES!! YES!!!! We play!! :D After looking at that supposed card, though, my husband says it looks fake. They only use things that have actually appeared in the Ponyverse. Sorry. The Only Joe, it's a great game! The first player to earn enough points (15) from successfully facing problems wins the game. They're just about to release the Discord packs in the next week or so, so you're hearing about this just in time for...chaos! ;D (Edit to fix a typo.) Edit to add: Watch, though, that will be a legit card when we get our packs next week...
  3. I have to agree that this past week's episode was one of my favorites of the season so far. Rainbow Dash...the feelings were so real. *sniffle *
  4. Oh man, Quiver, I'm a tad bit jealous of the early showing! (At least, it's early for us in the states since the official release is May 1st.) Good?!?
  5. Eclipse! Yes! Twilight Struggle! Also yes! LotR LCG, Game of Thrones board game, LotR coop, BSG 'co-op', and Power Grid...all yes! Mansions of Madness is one of my all time favorites. Even if you lose as the investigators, it's always an interesting and hilarious time! Do it! That's a pretty fun one. You should try to the new XCOM board game as it has some similar mechanics. Oh man, my mother-in-law played Ticket to Ride with us once. We have the Europe version, so the locomotives are absolutely necessary to building most routes. She basically hoarded them until she had like 15 of them and wouldn't spend them on anything. No one else could build a thing. We had to create a house rule that this was not allowed in future games by honor system. So, I'm just going to upload pictures of our game closet and the corner of the dining room where all the Star Wars X-Wing and Armada ships and the SW card game live (pretty much permanently). (Click on the links to see pictures...they weren't showing up right in my comment, alas.)
  6. I have an excuse to skip a workout today, I just burned so many calories laughing and snorting my way through this thread.
  7. Just watched this week's episode of Castle, but last night it was DS9 (in season 5) and Inuyasha (season 2), which I will admit I had never seen purely through my own negligence.
  8. Little late to this conversation, but definitely a Trek fan here. We rewatched all of TNG as it was released in stunning Blu Ray over the months, and I was so it had to come to an end. I love Data...and Picard...and Crusher..and [insert all main character names]. We're currently watching DS9 now and are in the last third of season 5. I had only seen passing episodes when they were first airing (I was a teenager then and wasn't that into it), but am LOVING it as an adult. The next plan is to watch Voyager, which we're borrowing from my husband's dad. Then we'll probably move on to Enterprise. Neither of us has finished Voyager (I went off to college and fell prey to my roommates' tv watching schedules) and the hubs also lost track of Enterprise due to the airing day of the week changing so much. He liked what he saw of it though. Sadly, I can't say I've seen much of the OS except random episodes when they used to show it on Nickelodean waaaayyyyy back in the day when it was a single channel, and the movies, of course. I like the Abrams movies for what they're worth. They're just cool action movies, and I'm not too picky about those so long as they're better than the Transporter, which a friend described as being so bad it went back to being good. I still can't believe we paid money to see the first one...
  9. He used to have one in his pic awhile ago, I believe...at least it looked like the kobolds from the D&D board game (this one) we have. On the love note... How about a guy who one minute was saying he wanted to marry you, the next was saying he was interested again in his high school girlfriend (who didn't want to get back together with him) and then the next (or, you know, three years later) sending you an email asking you to buy his self-published ebook like he wasn't a complete jerk that hadn't been blocked from your one email account immediately after you told him you'd see him next in the Tranquiline Halls and not a moment before then (apparently I forgot to block him from the other email account).
  10. Every now and then, despite taking zyrtec every single day of the year, something will trigger a full-out attack for me. When it gets bad, the best thing I've found that helps calm my nose down and break the sneezing cycle is to put a damp, cool washcloth over my nose and mouth. I also tend to take benedryl on top of the zyrtec if I'm really desperate. The allergist should help you more overall, though. He or she can see if you've developed any additional allergies and can hopefully get you into a regiment that works better than just taking allegra or something else. You might need a nasal spray on top of a pill. But while you're waiting, if you get desperate and are at home where it's possible to do so, try the damp wash cloth over your nose. It works wonders for me. Good luck!
  11. Kaymyth, I too wish I could give you more than one upvote for sharing that.
  12. Briar King, so, so, so sorry to hear about your brother-in-law. There are no words, but I will keep your family in my prayers. That makes this sound silly now... parents. No matter that I'm married and in my thirties, they still think they have a right to make plans for me (and my husband) and presume to do so. Not calling back tonight.. they'll have to wait to hear from me (which is when I will lay down the law) when I'm good and ready.
  13. Same here! We binged past seasons, too, since season 4 was starting to air when we finally gave in and watched the show. It's quite exciting to get them on a weekly basis. We'll be drooling for the next one before each Saturday is over.
  14. HA! Your comment and Edgedancer's remind me that I need to ask my husband to re-show me the text chain between him and his dad (who hides his face when we talk about how awesome MLP is), because they were cracking me up. All I can seem to remember now is some thing about Murica at the end. XD (Was going to put that behind a spoiler, but I didn't really give anything away... Anyhow, in totally agreement that the two-parter was an awesome start to the season! Also, I managed to half watch the 1986 movie last night. I watched that thing on repeat as a little girl, but as an adult, I don't think I could stomach it another time. So terrible despite the nostalgia.
  15. Started the new job today, and despite all the current employees freaking out over having to change cubicles (they've gotten three new people in the past week and needed to make space), I think I'm really gonna like this set-up as compared to my old place a/k/a h**l on earth. The current folks just don't know how good they have it. Plus, I get to have earlier hours! Woo hoo! For us morning people, that's great! It means I'm truly awake for most of the work hours in the day as opposed to wanting to take a post-lunch nap for at least half of them. Edit to add: Also, the season opener of MLP:FIM was AWESOME!
  16. When you're watching a LOL (League of Legends) match, and one of the guys is using one of the Dr. Mundo skins where his skin is definitively blue (there are a few), and you can't help but think that the game animation makes him look something like a koloss. (Edit to fix typing error.)
  17. Five Beatles albums...go! Rubber Soul Hard Day's Night Magical Mystery Tour Abbey Road Let It Be Please, Please Me Revolver Meet the Beatles A few bonuses in there. Okay, in honor of the coming holiday weekend, name five (5) well known Easter candies. (This should be pretty easy since there are WAY more than five Easter candies out there...no need for brand names unless you feel like it.)
  18. Reminder or Maybe New News: If you're in the States, Pony Day - April 4th! (I'm actually pretty thrilled they're also showing the old G1 Pony Movie. I watched that on repeat when I was little. It's probably terrible, so will be potentially hilarious.)
  19. I have definitely had to stop myself from typing BS in a chat with a friend, who, though a BS fan, might not take that as meaning Brandon Sanderson. So, I always type his name out if we aren't already on the topic. XD
  20. See, this is more my zone. I remember being excited to go to computer lab in middle school so we could play Oregon Trail and the lemonade stand game. I stunk at any twitchy game, but we played River Raid and other games on the Atari at my grandparents' house and had the original Sega. I loved Alex Kid in Miracle World, but I was and still am so bad at games like that that I only ever made it to level 5 or thereabouts. I was more a Myst, Sim City, Tetris and Chip's Challenge girl. (Chip's Challenge was in a random game pack for PC along with Tetris and about ten other games.) My parents weren't really into the idea of computer games, so most games that came into our house were for the PS1, PS2 when we got it, and my brother played those, not me. I'd watch, though, quite avidly.
  21. Best merch find at Universal Studios? The ONE small island of merchandise that was ALL MLP. I finally was able to get not only a ladies t-shirt for myself featuring the Mane 6 and the text "Smile Everypony" but also a Brony t-shirt for the hubs.
  22. Well, no one's answered and it's been several days, so I guess I'll come up with another one. One possible answer to the introvert question is: Albert Einstein, Eleanor Roosevelt, Steve Wozniak, C. S. Lewis, and J.K. Rowling. Alright, WLIU, list eight NCAA men's basketball teams that have been knocked out of the tournament so far. The longer it takes someone to answer this, the easier the question will become.
  23. Same with ours! No collar, but scared of her own shadow, I think. Unlike yours, she will definitely go all lovie-dovie on you, especially if jeans are involved. See link for cute happy-cat picture. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0By3p-Wyv5K0hMFdwLWJHVTBVNmdMa09LNzRMNVUyLWdpZUdJ/view
  24. Agreed! We got off track in watching Brotherhood right around when they're at the wall. Really need to get back to that...
  25. Are you talking about Christian ones? We just did a class on the 7 Deadly Sins / 7 Lively Virtues, but I don't know if they're the ones you're looking for. I'll still give it a try, though. The ones from the class were: Humility, Admiration, Forgiveness, Zeal, Charity, Temperance, and Chastity (7 Deadly Sins: Pride, Envy, Anger, Sloth, Greed, Avarice/Gluttony, and Lust) If that works, the next one is: WLIU, name five well known and influential introverts who lived within the last century (they can still be living).
