Strong female characters who aren't romantically interested in him? We should send in Autumn.

I'm glad you got such a great reaction!

This might sound like a stupid question, but do you mean chloroform as in the substance, or an Epic I missed?

Yep. She's friendlier than Vondra, less strict than Arsenal, and infinitely less punchable than Reader. That makes her a valuable asset.

* walks up to blinded Quicksilver victim * "Hey, good lookin'. You may have marbles for eyes, but surely even you can see what a good catch I am!" But yeah. Deathwish will have some Guards on hand to make sure he doesn't go overboard, but he'll definitely be helping with these efforts. Areas that are being searched will be sealed off to prevent anyone from escaping, and Deathwish will be tasked with monitoring the situation from above to make sure everyone stays where they're supposed to.

Hey everybody. Just posting here to let you know that I'm not dead nor am I abandoning the RP. Just been a mite busy here lately. I'm working on posts. Just a heads up, a lot of City Guard effort today will be directed towards locating and summarily executing Quicksilver.

In the interest of not drawing the forum into political territory, I won't give all the details except maybe in PMs. But the gist of it is, a congressman was taking questions in a public forum at the local chamber of commerce, and I called him out on the baloney science he was predicating his arguments on. He dodged my points as well as he was able, refusing to actually answer any one of them, and by the end his voice was the loudest in the room as he tried to get me to stop pressing him on the matter. He also tried to institute a policy in the room in which no one would speak unless he gestured to them, which I completely ignored once it became obvious that he was only allowing people who agreed with him to speak.

Today I personally made a national-level congressman mad enough to get red in the face and yell at me. Today was the proudest day of my young life.

Awesome! Just remember to answer all the questions honestly.

Why would you do that? Nevermind. There's only one cure for Cupcakes. Read this magnificent fix-fic. No ifs, ands, or buts. Read it now, enjoy the cuteness, and vow never to cross into the grimdark side of MLP again. It's the only way.

Meh. Words change over time. "Image macros" may be technically accurate, but in the practical sense, "meme" has evolved to mean the same thing. Therefore...

If I'm ever on public trial, I'll randomly blurt out "end transcript" at various points in the proceedings, just to make the official record really confusing to read.

Were they attempting to summon an eldritch geometry daemon from beyond the higher dimensions? Because that's how you summon an eldritch geometry daemon from beyond the higher dimensions.

The Good News Thread: I'm So Excited! And I Just Can't Hide It!

Told ya people would be interested. Good for you! -
Why not? You're the one who organized this here shindig.

It depends. If they're Epic-derived technology, with motivators and everything, then yeah, there's no way. If they're just a mundane DNA-tester of some kind, then Arsenal only needs to have seen one once in order to duplicate them for the whole town. It's definitely the kind of technology what remained of the National Guard would have tried to get its hands on.

Note for all of you: "You heard it on the internet" is an ad fontem fallacy. "Ad fontem" means "to the source," and refers to an argument that attacks the source of an opposing point of view rather than its logical merit. As should be needless to say, this is completely illogical and a terrible argument. A good argument is a good argument, whether you heard it from a respected logician or a magical talking seagull in a sombrero. If your parents claim that your opinion is invalid, then remind them that they are indulging in the ad fontem fallacy. Hearing their arguments named, dissected, and analyzed to the deaths disarms the illogically minded. They lose the intellectual high ground, forcing them to either retreat and rethink their position or resort to anger. Either way, naming an ad fontem fallacy when you hear it will drastically change the argument and inform your opponent that you're not an intellect to be brushed off lightly.

Nightwatcher Boon/Bane (Game)
Kobold King replied to killersquirrel59's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
You are shot by a poacher, your bones ground into a powder and sold to shady millionaires who believe drinking you will enhance their virility. I wish to have a reputation for being bloodthirsty and untrustworthy. -

Granted! You receive 21, 000 upvotes all at once, followed by 21, 000 downvotes spread out over the next couple of months. Your glory will be brief, but enjoyable. I wish for the ability to endow random objects with self-awareness and human-level intelligence. -
Slightly off-topic? Maybe? Apparently a man made a mountain backdrop his desktop background for over a year. Today, he accidentally stumbled across the site while vacationing in Italy.
