  1. She's not allowed anywhere near Mizzy.
  2. Shiny Sparkle has the body of an eighteen year-old supermodel! It's in her basement. She'll show it to you if you like.
  3. Careful where you say that. We don't want to give Backtrack false hope.
  4. That was my idea. But if Winter doesn't want to take it you're welcome to it.
  5. All in favor of shooting the Stormlight Archive movie on Pluto raise your hand or claw.
  6. Tell your brain to do something useful, like come up with hilarious WHOOCs or come up with exciting new pug video concepts. Because right now, it's worrying you over absolutely nothing.
  7. Eh. Best I can do.
  8. You're walking through the woods...
  9. I certainly didn't mean any offense. There's nothing wrong with patriotism per se, but in it's raw form, it is an animalistic instinct. There's nothing wrong with that. Humans are animals, and it's our instincts that make the world go round. But I think it's of the utmost importance that we always remember which tendencies of ours are the most important, and which are just the product of chemical hormones bouncing around in our brains. If we don't at least bear in mind the dangers in overemphasizing patriotism, a despot like Adolf Hitler could appeal to that patriotism and do terrible things before we even realize what's happening. And I support what those Scouts did--in fact, were I there, I would have helped put the flags up. There's patriotism, which is doing things and thinking things solely for the abstract idea of a nation, and then there's kindness, which is doing something because it would mean a lot to the people you're helping.
  10. Poor phrasing on my part. Sorry. My personal loyalty is to people I have personal cause to care for. The family members I've loved since infancy, friends I've met since then, etc. My conscience and religion also guides me towards (attempting to) care for strangers with the same love and devotion that I'd treat my closest family member. Bottom line is, I care for people, not organizations. I can love Americans even while thinking America itself is a lousy crem-pit. Anything else, like waving a flag or reciting an oath of obedience, strikes me as way too similar to chimps in the rainforest beating branches and hooting for the glory of their troop. Love is an important ethical virtue. Patriotism is just a way of harnessing love to further a group of hierarchial primates' agenda. Oh Swimmingly, my Swimmingly. He was like a forum father to me.
  11. No, it's pronounced ""
  12. I am not only homeschooled, but I now write for my family's homeschooling curriculum.
  13. I won't say it because I find it bordering on nationalism. I pledge allegiance to no nation or entity, save God and my own conscience. I bear no loyalties towards my own nation over any other, and I refuse to support or endorse the government that presumes to rule over me. I don't know how many people say it daily, but speaking as someone in the heart of conservative Texas, patriotism of all kinds is pretty strong down here.
  14. Yeah, she'd be alive, but with no means of propulsion she'd never escape the sun's gravity and get back to Earth...
  15. Thus robbing the world of its oxygen supply, preventing Lucentia from taking the breath necessary to complain! ...I have mixed feelings about this.
  16. Those poor trees.
  17. I am infuriated by that name. Because I didn't think of it first.
  18. Don't you wish real-world economics could be as interesting as it is in Dwarf Fortress?
  19. So I could give people emergency blood transfusions from a distance?
  20. Apparently tripping and bruising your arm on a rock outside, no matter how much it hurts, is not grounds for having your injured limb replaced with a cybernetic ion cannon. Bummer.
  21. Arsenal created a squid cloning chamber...?
  22. Yesterday I pushed a guy's shopping cart back to the return for him. I was going to the return anyway, and he was elderly and looked pretty tired, so it seemed like a nice thing to do. It was probably the pettiest and most insignificant act of charity this town has ever seen, but I felt like a radiant saint for doing it.
  23. TwiLyghtSansSparkles: she can't even make a cute pug video without Vorins gasping and dramatically fainting.
