Cool. That'll work.
Not hugely obvious. He'll be there long enough to collect Aldo and his largest dinosaurs, but he won't be doing a lot of socializing or assigning orders.
Did we ever decide on what Nighthound will be doing during the meeting?
Oh, that's a good idea. It's also a great way to split scenes between Lightwards at the bakery, Museum, and the Sadry residence. Do you want the MEE traitor to meet up with him while he's en route to the Sadry's, or while he and Lucentia are en route to the Museum?
Lightwards is simultaneously at his saddest and scariest on Valentine's Day.
Summoner and Smokey? Jingleberry + random consort?
Um... probably after, if you mean when the attack starts.
Lightwards could use Forrest for blackmail, and definitely would if he got the chance.
But there's a major obstacle to that; unless Forrest and Revolution were kissing/holding hands at every opportunity in front of him, he'd probably never realize they were a couple. He's not a perceptive person in that respect.
You might notice that he never asked whether Sam had a boyfriend he could hold hostage. Sam doesn't have a boyfriend, but the fact that he didn't even consider the possibility sort of shows how his mindset works in this regard.
(I've heard vague references to Nighthound prime being horrifyingly terrifying, but I don't think I've heard the specifics.)
I'm really loving the return of Mr. Harmon. Like with Lightwards and the Sadry's only living relative, one of Altermind's random cruelties is poised to finally catch up with him.
I can only assume you broke out in cold sweat before trying to discreetly tell whether said someone was a genuine Inquisitor.
"Are you going to drink any of that punch? Careful... I think it might be spiked, if you catch my drift."
"Do you hear that siren? Sounds sort of like a half-skaa screaming, wouldn't you say?"
"Let's play truth or dare; I'll go first. Does God tell you to murder people in your head?"
See the Third Law. Any Revolution ship is inherently awesome unless it conflicts with the First Law.
Right now I'm running into an age-old problem: how much detail to include in catch-up RP posts? Right now I've covered Lightwards and Lucentia leaving the bakery, but I have nothing but boringness for the rest of the details until Team Funacid arrives. :/
I'm seriously considering a Forrest viewpoint just to shake up a pretty boring post.
I believe the four are Lucentia, Deathgale, Bloody Mary, and The Metal.
Oh yeah, that could work. Though be warned, any vanilla man who shoots Lightwards is in for a pretty hefty grudge.
Is Forrest canon then?
You said it, sister.
"Life is like a box of chocolates."
"In what way?"
Forrest frowned. "Uh, I don't know. Sweet, I guess? I suck at metaphors."
Epic Plot Twist: Forrest and Revolution are David's parents.
Lightwards would turn down any offer of having Thoughttown assign him a guard unfortunately. Unless of course he was permitted to turn the offered guard into a Warrior, at which point the shipping becomes a great deal harder.
I could definitely see Revolution and UTG meeting each other whenever they could, however. If Thoughttown and the Empire are going to be allies during the CM War then there will probably be other meetings.
(If this happens, he'll probably need a better name than "UTG." Forrest, perhaps, since "Forrest Revolution" has a nice ring to it?)
Argh, there are so many potential ships begging to be launched at this meeting. Flash Revolution, Sight Revolution, Unnamed Thoughttown Guard Revolution...
I believe that was one of the Immutable Laws of Shipping.
Then Portland is doomed.
Then anything's possible.
Pir2h, may I make a respectful suggestion? There are other Oregon threads in the planning right now, such as "What Happened in Astoria." In my humble opinion, I think it would be more worthwhile to save Dragon for one of those. Nerfing him to fit "What Happened in Portland" seems unnecessary, since this particular thread may not even last much longer.
In both Portland and The Dalles it's been mentioned that it's an unusually bright and sunny day. My headcanon is that Snowfall is pulling cold air from the surround areas to make it snow over Sacramento.
Agreed. They would make a cute couple, though the circumstances to bring them together would be quite difficult to arrange.
Panapoint is indeed pretty nice. The alliteration also helps.
Flash Revolution could work from Revolution's end, depending on how atrocious Flashpoint started behaving. She's not as prejudiced as Sam is and definitely believes some Epics have good in them. This trait is about two-thirds personality and one-third naiveté.
Cricket would be completely disinterested in Flashpoint, but if the latter made a big deal about not being interested, she'd be quite offended.
That is a very cool idea, but I'd have to agree with TwiLyght--even with his various power modifications, he's way too powerful for Portland.
That's probably a good idea.
Just so you all know, I am trying to get the next Portland post up. I keep getting distracted by RL affairs, but at least half of it is written now.
Also, Flashpoint desperately needs somebody to love. He'll wind up as sad and lonely as Backtrack if he stays single around Summoner/Smokey much longer.
