  1. The Fractally Useful Numeration of Tactical Inquiries for the Most Excellent Sanderson (Or "FUNTIMES," for short) This list represents the master list of Reckonerverse questions. Questions are sorted by their potential value for this RP, with the highest priority inquiries occupying the first positions on the list. The questions I have gathered thus far are as follows (some include Firefight spoilers, so be wary):
  2. Who's up for a WHOOC where Funtimes finally befriends Backtrack by turning an entire building into bug poison long enough to completely kill Lord of the Silverfish? Nathan the Normal sound surprisingly apt. Nathan strikes me as the kind of guy who wouldn't become anyone of import no matter where in history you put him--and he'd relish his historical insignificance.
  3. I will get to work, then. (I must say I'm looking forward to an eventual Funtimes/Backtrack meeting. In part because of how much it would terrify the latter of them for no good reason. ) Nathan the Ginger? Nathan the Traveler? Nathan the Whovian? Nathan the Timid? Nathan the Kind? Nathan the Not-an-Epic? I get the feeling that if the Lord of the Silverfish were to make his way to Oregon, he'd very quickly skitter onto the "And Then They Died" list.
  4. Sounds accurate to me. Who wants to do the honors of making it canon? What would Nathan and Remington be? Also, because this is obligatory for Epics mentioned in passing:
  5. Lightwards the Green Aldo the Enigmatic Mobius the Loopy Backtrack the Whiny Revolution the Sunburst Sam the Snarky You're right, this is fun. I actually like silverfish--last year I worked at an old derelict house, and I got the opportunity to see a whole lot of them crawling out of the woodworks. They glint in the sunlight in a really awe-inspiring way. I still wouldn't want to be the victim of a maniacal supervillain who drowns his enemies in endless waves of the things.
  6. I'm assuming so. We won't know for sure until we wheedle more information out of the Bandersnatch. (Captain Carnogore could cause his bullets to explode on impact. He never had much use for Backtrack, but kept him on hand anyway. The Lord of the Silverfish was a far more dangerous High Epic--he could cause any wooden structure he touched to explode into millions of silverfish under his telepathic control. What's more, when mortally wounded his body would transform into a pile of silverfish, which would then reform into a completely healed body. (I... may have put too much thought into this. Or not enough. ) You're forgetting "Koschei the Deathless," which is the most badchull name in the whole RP. It's rivaled only by "Steelheart" in canon.
  7. He's a THOUSAND TIMES more subtle than any other Epic in California. He has a fifty-foot statue in Oakland that proclaims so on the plaque at its base. Is it strange that I actually know the power profiles of both Captain Carnogore and the Lord of the Silverfish?
  8. Hot chocolate? Backtrack gratefully took the mug of cocoa, sipping it deeply as the vanilla doctor did his vanilla doctor things. Between the warm chocolate-y beverage the purring kitty in his lap, he was beginning to feel more comfortable than he'd been since leaving San Francisco. Except for the bullet wound, of course. That really sucked. And the sounds of war and devastation still passing through the clinic's outer walls were pretty stressful too, come to think of it. Still though. Hot chocolate was hot chocolate, and moreover it was awesome. “So what brings you to the city?” the doctor asked casually as he moved through the awesome. Backtrack opened his mouth to respond, then shut it again as he tried to figure out what to say. How much detail should he give the man? Just what he'd told Autumn? More? Less? Should he start at the beginning? What was the beginning? Should he start at the part where he became an Epic, or the part where he left San Fran? Should he talk about Lightwards, or should he talk about a few months ago when he was working for Captain Carnogore, and then how he'd fled in a panic out of California after the Lord of the Silverfish killed Carnogore and declared he'd do the same to everyone who'd worked for him? He then realized he hadn't spoken in a minute and the doctor was staring at him. "Ah, you know," Backtrack replied, smiling weakly. "Work."
  9. Tulir, what's the layout of the Florist's garden? Would I be correct in characterizing it as a walled-off private property on the city's outer border? Is it plausible that the City Guard could have been cut off from it during the panda attack, explaining why they haven't shown up to protect him until now?
  10. Well, I'd best finish compiling the master list of Reckonerverse questions.
  11. He's what? * Googles it * Huh. I really need to keep closer tabs on the news.
  12. That's a good question. What are the odds of Steve Jobs becoming a technomancer Epic who continues to distribute iPods across the Fractured States?
  13. I can even tell you that Espeon and Umbreon are the starters for Pokemon Colosseum. I'm stumped for any newer generation, though.
  14. >>rainbows >>Rainbow >>Rainbow Dash >>Ponies >>Equestria Confirmed: Koschei the Deathless is an alicorn from Equestria.
  15. How often does he quote the Holy Script-purr?
  16. Fan casting unlocked: Helena Bonham Carter as Frequency.
  17. Can't wait to hear about it. I wouldn't say no to the link.
  18. Not at all. You're doing a great job. I think I remember that one, actually. Is it the same one that somebody used to create all the races of Roshar?
  19. Things got very anime in here all of a sudden. (And now I'm regretting the fact that I can't find any good anime character creators online. )
  20. I'm fine until I get to the most recent couple of generations. Would you accept "Turtle with a leaf on his back," "Samurai penguin," and "Pig where spicy-hot pork rinds come from"?
  21. How 'bout this? Anyone who can prove they know CorpseMaker's weakness gets an Alan containing the comic. I'm nothing if not generous. Now go pester Joe with proposed weakness trades until he tells it to you. Honestly, if someone directly asked for one of my characters' weaknesses without giving anything in return, I'd probably give it to 'em regardless. No one's allowed to actually use weaknesses without permission, after all.
  22. ...dang. You win the pony comic contest this time, Twi. (Though once CorpseMaker's weakness is revealed and I can post the comic I made about it, there will be a reckoning. )
  23. Never speak of it again? I wouldn't have taken you for an agent of Lightwards, Voidus.
