  1. Metronome can help keep track of those long hours, while Backtrack can sob about how even with useless powers Vondra's more badchull than he is.
  2. Unrelated statement is unrelated. It just occurred to me that with Vondra's level of paranoia regarding Epics, if he were to become one himself his weakness might actually be other Epics.
  3. They say that when Brandon Sanderson first set his pen to paper to write the Stormlight Archive, the worldbuildingspren were so thick they clogged the room as if they were a dense fog.
  4. He might suspect that Protector Pug was behind it, but he'd be too embarrassed to point at the cuddly black pug in Sam's arms and accuse it of murder. Yeah... Should I remove the question from the list?
  5. I'm not adverse to making this happen, if we can have it take place in a pitch-black room so Lightwards never knows for sure what it is that killed him. In other news, WeiryWriter finally transcribed the last part of the Chicago book signing that took place a while back, and here's an interesting tidbit from it--somebody asked a question that's on the FUNTIMES list before the FUNTIMES list was made.
  6. Not if he's passed the event horizon. If he's passed the certain point called the event horizon, the only way to escape the black hole's gravity would be to travel faster than light, which is a physical impossibility. So don't count on being able to retrieve anything or anyone you've tossed into a black hole.
  7. The original post specifies Cosmere characters, but I'm going to talk about Firefight because I'm a rebel. MAJOR Firefight spoilers in the box below.
  8. Yeah, yeah, I know. I'll try to get something productive done today.
  9. Ever play Starfarers of Catan? It's like Settlers of Catan, but with alien races, epic battles with space pirates, thrilling races to the distant corners of the galaxy, and the exploration and colonization of distant star systems. Another game I adore but rarely see mentioned is WildLife, a game designed by Wolfgang Kramer. Players take the role of one of six different species of wild animals, all competing in an evolutionary arms race to become Earth's dominant species. The game centers around adapting to new environments and surviving difficult situations like plagues and famines, and is one of the funnest board games I've ever played. (My family owns the German edition of the game, so an added benefit is that it teaches us the German nouns for six different species of animal, as well as that the word for famine appears to be "hungersnot." )
  10. How I feel whenever I post on the Signings board.
  11. Just make sure you supply him with a glass of milk--we don't want him to be to thirsty to answer any questions. Aside from that caveat, it seems like a good plan. The way to an author's heart is through his stomach, after all.
  12. Sounds good to me. Whenever I fantasize about meeting the Bandersnatch I always imagine saying something along those lines. "Hi, I'm a big fan, I'm deeply involved in an RP centered around your work, would you mind answering a question that could help us with anchoring our characters in the setting." Not... that I spend a great deal of time thinking about this... of course.
  13. I'd never condone kidnapping as a means of acquiring information for an online roleplay... but have you considered taking a roll of thick rope and a deck of novelty Magic: The Gathering Cards to use as bait? EDIT: I remember that theory of yours now, Twi. Not only have I seen it before but I've adopted it as my tentative headcanon for a while now... so, take an upvote for taking the time to type it up again?
  14. Well, in that case... I think the first question on the list is the most valuable to us.
  15. I am interested in this theory of thine. Also, mail-mi: I should stress that we're not trying to be half as bossy as we sound with our suggestions. We'd never pressure you into wasting such an amazing opportunity on a question you don't personally care for--no one would even fault you if you asked a Cosmere question.
  16. Go for the first one, if you're taking suggestions. I suspect the one about Epic power levels would probably get RAFOed.
  17. I'm insanely jealous right now, mail-mi. Do you know for sure the exact question you'll ask him? Will it be anything from the FUNTIMES list?
  18. Can he create winged constructs that he calls his "curds of prey"?
  19. My Little Pony makes far more sense. Which is why I've been talking about practically nothing but ponies and pony fan theories for the past week.
  20. Is there, by any chance, a public list of features you'll be adding coupled with a notice for when the update will take place? I like knowing what to expect.
  21. Good for you! Glad your new workplace is a good one. WASN'T IT, THOUGH? This is the first time I've started watching MLP episodes in real time, having selectively binged them on Netflix before now. I haven't been this excited about ponies since I first started watching the show. It's awesome that you're on the path back to good health!
