Hey, if anybody has some good vibes to spare, would you mind sending them my way? I'm looking for a new job.

Really weird thing just happened. We found a gecko in the fridge. We thought he was dead, but I was a little bit hopeful, so I very gently pulled him out and brought him to a sunny place in the garden to warm up. After a minute he started flexing his toes, and after a couple he made a few short jaunts where he ran about six inches up my arm in a bid for freedom. He'd become gray and discolored in the fridge, but his color was actually starting to come back somehow; finally he regained enough energy to spring unexpectedly out of my hand, leap into the grass, and take off at full speed quickly enough that I wouldn't have been able to catch him if I wanted to.
It was a really weird, really interesting experience.

"So for this setting, Kobold, I'm going for a sort of 1920s/1930s aesthetic in a fantasy world-"
"ZEPPELINS!"
"...yeah, there could be rigid airships, but also some other stereotypical features of the era, you know, like flappers-"
"THEY CAN DANCE ON BOARD ZEPPELINS!"
"...yeah, maybe, and maybe something with Prohibition and the Mob-"
"SPEAKEASIES ON BOARD ZEPPELINS!"
"...ahem, and maybe have some fantasy versions of famous individuals of the era..."
"Ooh, actually, you know which individual definitely needs to have a representative in this fantasy world?"
"Who?"
"COUNT FERDINAND VON ZEPPELIN!!"

It's not so much that I look at my old writing and cringe so much as I look at my old writing and wish I still had a quarter of the confidence to write such things without berating myself and deleting the word document.

I spend enough time googling things like "Most painful ways to kill people" and "Most misogynist ways to refer to women" that anyone who doesn't know I write a lot of villains would absolutely despise me based on my search history.

“Welcome to the Salty Spittoon, how tough are ya?”
“How tough am I? I once moved across town, packing my things one-handed while my furniture was moved with a screaming, barking pug straining at the other end of the leash.”
“Er, right this way, ma’am. Sorry to keep you waiting.”

WARNING: Side effects of listening to the audiobook version of Garth Nix’s Old Kingdom series may include having your own thoughts narrated by Tim Curry for at least three hours after the fact. You will write status updates and RP posts in his voice and accent. Use with caution.

Do you imagine both male and female Epics singing an upbeat cover of "Professional Pirate"?
...not... that I... would know anything about that feeling.

Decided to try a new Spotify playlist. The first song to come up on shuffle has absolutely nothing to do with some recent developments in the meta-canon of the Reckoners RP and totally doesn’t fit two rather frightening characters.
Spoiler-
It's good to see I'm not the only one who associates whatever song I'm currently listening to with whatever characters I'm currently writing about.
The lyrics are scarily on the nose, though.
On that note: there are no lyrics to this one, but I'm Undertale trash and this is in my head as the music that plays when some unlucky slontze gets to the Darkrose boss fight.

Did you personally make your pfp?

Back in the earlier days of the Reckoners RP, I came up with a profile for an Epic with the self-explanatory name Writer's Block, a villain of the purest form and a true agent of chaos.
Well, I think I've run into his just-as-evil-twin: Perfectionisto. He strikes writers with the uncontrollable compulsion to erase everything they've written that day and replace it with text that they will inevitably delete the following day.
And let me tell you, I am really starting to hope the Reckoners get that guy.
-
He's been menacing you too?

Dang. We should start some sort of
Anti-Perfectionisto LeagueWriters Against PerfectionistoOrganization for the Eradication of PerfectionistoPerfectionisto Opposite Fan Club, Like A Fan Club But Opposite...I'll... get back to you on the name. As soon as I think of one that's not garbage.

I'd forgotten how charming the Rankin-Bass Christmas specials were.

If you feel stupid today, just remember that I forgot to refill my wiper fluid yesterday and found a dirty windshield when I went to go to work. Wanting to be safe, but not having time to refill the fluid, I grabbed a bottle of water from my car and threw it on the glass where it froze instantly.

I have come to a realization.
Now that I live at an altitude of over 6,000 feet, I can call many people "airsick lowlanders."

Did I ever mention on here that I moved to Hawaii? Because I did! I moved to the big island of Hawai'i at the beginning of the year!
Also, there's a volcano erupting twelve miles away and I experienced two mild earthquakes today.

Good news: I published a fanfiction! Bad news: it's about an obscure superhero card game no one's ever heard of.

Didn't expect someone to actually know what it was. Nice! Who are your favorite characters?
My fanfic's here if you find yourself with nothing better to do. I wrote it about Unity and Fanatic, because they're my favorites.

Sentinels of the Multiverse. I've found myself pretty sucked into the lore here lately.
