  1. Hey guys its good to be back I guess I will start off by jumping in on the role distributions post Hael started. We can't really guess what roles the eliminators have but we can make some guesses which social standings they potentially start with. Totals: 3 Vinitish Nobleman 6 Aturan Nobleman 6 Yllish Commoner 7 Cealdish Comoner 2 Edema Ruh With only 3 Vinitish Nobleman and with all of the potential to buy powerful items in Imre, I would make a guess one of those 3 is a Skindancer. If none of them are Skindancers then it would have to be made up by having a higher percent of Aturan Nobleman as Skindancers. I don't think we should try to lynch or kill the top three, but as we get actions to help discover the Skindancers those should be high targets. As for the total number of Skindancers my guess would be like Hael's at around 5. It is not because Sabotage is weak... I actually think it is a fairly strong ability due to the fact that the Crookery basically stops a player from doing anything. I think it is 5 because I don't see any large advantage the Skindancers would have that would require their numbers to be at 4 nor do I see any large disadvantage that would need to be offset with having 6 Skindancers.
  2. Hey guys after playing several of these games I got thinking about what would make an interesting game and came up with some game mechanics I would like your feedback on. Game Setup: MR or LG game. This could be a normal Eliminator versus Village type game or a 3+ faction type game. If it is a faction game some of the roles will have to be adjusted specifically the seeker type role. Basic idea: If any player gets about 10 investments they explode with power and die. The number of investments someone requires to die should change based on how many players there are and the desired length of the game, but for the purpose of this outline assume 10. Some Roles only work on players with x+ number of investments while other roles require the use of investments. The number of a player’s current investments is not public knowledge, but are sent to each person in a PM at the end of night/day. Voting does not bring a lynch about but instead adds 1 investment counter to a player. PM rules would depend on if it is a faction game or a normal game. Roles: Normal player: You get to vote, but have no other abilities. Seeker: Once a day they can place a vote on someone, but this does not give that person an investment charge. Instead if that player is higher than x investments the seeker is told what their alignment is or if that player is lower than x investments the seeker is told what role that player is. Scanner: Once a day and night they can scan to see how many investments a player has. Manipulator: Once a day this player may move 1 investment from one player to another player as long as that player has less than x investments. They can not move an investment from themselves. Striker: Once a day this player may target a player and add 2 investments to them. Defender: Once a day this player may target a player and remove 2 investments. A player can not go into the negative. Redirection: Once a day you can redirect someone's action. This removes 1 investment from yourself and can only be used if you have an investment. Prevent Action: Once a day you can prevent someone’s action. This removes 1 investment from yourself and can only be used if you have an investment. Funnel: Once a day you can move an investment from yourself to another player. You can only do this if you have an investment on yourself. God among Mortals: You do not die if you get to 10 investments instead your win condition is to get above 20 investments. Win condition will change if the number of investments required for death goes up or down. Eliminator: At night you can add one investment to a player in addition to with whatever role you might have. This will need to change if the number of investments required for death goes up or down. Summary This is a rough outline and I am not sure how best to balance it, but I think the game mechanic would be fun. I see a lot of potential fun trying to track investment levels of players and trying to use abilities based off of that tracking for the best purpose of whatever team that player is on. It also would give every player more incentive to play since their vote always does something. Feel free to change anything and run with the idea if you like it. This post is mostly about the game mechanics and if you guys think it would make a fun game. Potential problems Seekers being found out way too early. This is due to them being the only role where their public vote does not increase someone’s investment. There are a lot of roles that can remove investment. A Seeker might be able to survive in the open due to this. Eliminators not being able to give enough investments out. If they focus investments it will make them obvious. Their night investment is secret, but is that enough? Defender might be overpowered. Should his ability add an investment onto himself? Roles that require the use of investments might be too hard to kill. Lower their death cap?
  3. I am not an OC and if you guys kill me you run a very high chance of losing this game. This is about to be 2v2 when I die. You will not control the vote AND perservation still has an extra life. You will not be able to kill someone without giving them Odium's shard. If that happens then they will turn around and kill you. If you guys want to kill me fine, but do so after Mail is dead. That way it will be 2v1 once you kill me. This is by far the safest course for a Village win and I hope you guys see the wisdom in that.
  4. There are ways to prevent most of the shenanigans, but I won't go into depth on the forum here for the obvious reasons. Karlin might just be an innocent. Wilson's death is an interesting puzzle. Raven very well could be the last OC, but I know for certain it is not myself or Stink and Kipper has proven himself over the course of the game. If you didn't have the team switching capability I would include you in that list, but unfortunately we just don't know.
  5. Seonid sorry if I am coming across as smug that is the farthest from my intention. I honestly think Karlin is the last OC and will die shortly. I would be very surprised to see 7 starting eliminators in the game. But just in case, I am just trying to play for worst case scenario. So lets pretend worse case scenario exists. You and Mail are an OC, karlin is an OC and there is one hidden OC among the rest of us. That means you can tie the vote (might win it if Karlin comes back, but that is extremely unlikely). The OC would make himself/herself known by tying the vote. Luckily the eliminators have lost their kill ability by giving away Odium and it will come back to Endowment allowing us to make a kill. The next night we use that kill on the OC. The voting is now 3-2 in favor of the village and we have a kill ability. Granted it can't be used on people with dual lives without giving it back to the Eliminators, but we can at least keep it out of their hands. If the OC doesn't come out then you die and that leaves 3 - 2 villager lead with us still controlling the kill ability. At that point we lynch Mail until he dies and it becomes a 3-1 with one of the 4 being the last OC. That gives us extremely good odds of winning. In fact I think it would be a guaranteed win because we still have the kill ability. Honestly the only way to prevent us from winning is if Kipper, Raven, Stink and myself start arguing and we lynch one of us instead of forcing a tie with the lynch on you. You have worked hard this game Seonid and I truly would feel bad if you died and you weren't an OC, but this is the safest course for a win. Edit Note - If Karlin is actually innocent this strategy will still work. If I missed something in my thinking there let me know.
  6. I shared that information with Wilson really early in the game and with Seonid being Hoid I am sure he was privy to most of the information Wilson had. Which means he knew about that scan and yet posted a long analysis about you being an OC. I will most likely be voting for Seonid next cycle.
  7. I thought there was going to be a lot more to read to catch up Lopen the situations you outlined has Phat being good in one of them unless I misread your post. Phat could very well be evil, but I don't think so. There really hasn't been much information (no posts) so it is kinda hard to tell. Normally being an Eliminator spikes a players activity, but Surgespren didn't play at all. The biggest evidence in my mind is that Phat was role blocked and all of the kills went through. If we do lynch Phat and he turns out to be good then we know Ruin is bad. Personally I don't like that plan as I have higher suspects at the moment. Mail I gave you a great opportunity when we lynched Hael to get Phat to come post in the thread, but you didn't vote for him. I actually called you out on that, but you never explained why. Then this cycle you call him out again. I appreciated going after the quiet ones, but why the inconsistency?
  8. Awesome Wilson we have a solid lead on another one then. If that person is an OC that means there is probably only one after bloodsealer's death. Would the last person automatically get Odium's shard? If so then finding the player with shard investing or a new endowment shouldn't be too difficult.
  9. I was kinda hoping to get at least some discussion out of the forum before a bandwagon formed on Hael. It is interesting to see who jumps on after the first vote. Clanky voting 2nd when the lynch is against Hael strikes me as a non eliminator thing to do. I am not saying this means Clanky is not an eliminator just one small piece of information pointing to that he is probably not. On the flip side, Mail why didn't you vote 3rd for Phat? Last cycle you were all gungho to try and get him to post yet here is your chance and you didn't jump on it. That action is a little suspicious to me. Yes we should kill Hael, but we need to try to generate more information and quick bandwagons rarely do that. Phat Hael
  10. The fact Antillar hasn't defended himself is very suspicious to me. I know he was on yesterday, he viewed the thread and used personal messager after having been called out here. Even with seeing that he has been called out he hasn't defended himself so I am going to place my vote there. Phat has been super quiet as well, but right now I think Antillar has a higher chance of being an eliminator.
