Cryptics as nobels
NeutroniumAlchemist replied to High prince of geeks's topic in Stormlight Archive
I'm going to borrow this thread for some questions *Do we know if there are any type of sentient spren in Shadesmar who are not bonded to Radiants (besides Jasnahs "high spren")? *And do you guys think Honorspren and Cryptics are more powerful than, for example, a "wyndlespren" or did they just end up in charge over there because of them being more pure/closer to the Shards than the other spren? -

KR Spies and general intelligence
NeutroniumAlchemist replied to WitSpren's topic in Stormlight Archive
Interesting haven't thought of this but it might have some merit, creepy sneaky spren beware! She might not have thought of this but also Pattern might start to suddenly hum(like he did at the oathgate) which will draw attention to him. I very much doubt the stormfather will take what he may consider a petty order or suggestion from Dalinar to simply spy on people. He sees himself as a God after all. Also it might not be possible to sneak/spy upon the more cosmere aware or just powerful guys out there who know what to look for, so my guess is this might be used for political gain but not for spying on Odium and his minions. -
How did the Recreance Happen?
NeutroniumAlchemist replied to Patrick Star's topic in Stormlight Archive
That seems to simple to me, 9 orders of the KR would not ALL kill their spren over their abandonment, theres got tp be more to it than that. It's a shame we cant ask Mr.T who probably know/knew? it, since this secret most likely is his coded message in the Diagram states that there is a secret which destroyed the KR the first time around. -
Topic says it all. They try to murder each other with different success but why do they? I would get it id it was the Sons of Honor, they care only about the return of the Heralds by causing the return of the Voidbringers which Jasnah tries to prevent. I would get Mr.T, if the Diagram would say kill Jasnah then he would, also she is a KR which Mr.T does not approve of. The goals of the Ghostbloods are murky, but from what we now know they do not clash with Jasnahs as far as i can. Both want to find Urithiru, Ghostbloods opposes the Sons of Honor which Jasnah would as well so then WHY?
-
I don't think Jasnah will blame Shallan for the choices she made, she is a creature of logic after all and Shallan did achieve her goals for her for which she will be grateful. The (possible) issue is the Ghostbloods and if Shallan decides to side/join with them as veil before Jasnah and Shallan are reunited, then i see a problem.

The Question is: can Kaladin break his oath/kill Syl,then have Vasher Awaken her into an evil-killing-spen? or would that just be a lifeless spren?
-
An interesting thought since it would be fun to see how skybreakers would use the gravity surge in a different way to windrunners. Shallan needed truths to soulcast the first time in WoK which Jasnah diden't need but in the end the result were the same so i dunno. I hope you are correct though

As unlikely i believe this to be, I agree 100% with this statement. They would be the funniest power-couple ever This is assuming that Hoid didn't manage to snatch her up beforehand, which i would be okay with also.

I wonder if we will see any of Redin (the Jah Keved bastard) in book 3, maybe not as an interlude but perhaps interacting with the POV of an interlude
-
And suffer the HELL that dealing with the annoying Windfinders entails? I'd rather get pounded by a Highstorm
-
Well Surgebinders will get their asses kicked by Channelers but on the other hand I think the Stormfather will pretty much beat everyone. What I would like to see is a ring-fight between Odium and the Dark One! Also off topic, but WoT related, did anyone else catch Shallans 'proper braid' moment?
-
I disagree about pattern, I do not think she dislikes him at all she just said that when she finally confronted her long buried truth about her mothers death. A lie with perhaps a little truth in it - the best kind

were does it say that galivar wanted the return of voidbringers? that was amaram..

(Guesses) Nightblood's Powers on Roshar
NeutroniumAlchemist replied to Darkness's topic in Stormlight Archive
Im just curious as to how many times in the third book Nightblood will even be drawn from his sheath considering the huge amounts of breath/stormlight he requires. In Warbreaker he was only actually drawn like what, 1 time? (cant remember). AN also, since now it seems he will have to make due with stormlight it raises the interesting question what will happen if he is drawn and drains Szeth of all stormlight... Can Nightblood absorb Szeths 'life essence' or will he just simply run out of stormlight? And if that happends what would that result in, a normal shardblade requires nothing, but if Nightblood have nothing which to draw upon would that make him a less of a shardblade to some extent?- 17 replies

Dalinar being thebest character
NeutroniumAlchemist replied to bdoble97's topic in Stormlight Archive
Dalinar is a Radiant without shards and also a Bondsmith, as such i don't think he will do a lot of fighting, more likely he will focus all his brilliant wit and politically keen mind to do a lot of talk and schmoozing -
The Finale Empire definitely, mostly since i dont have to wait 20yrs to read the last installment

Adolin to be featured in new wine advertisement!
NeutroniumAlchemist replied to traceria's topic in Stormlight Archive
Scene 5: Adolin throws down Shardblade, replaces him with Stick, wins duel (and girls off-course), puts on sunglasses and sips a glass of wine. *cue cool music -
I may have found another worldhopper.
NeutroniumAlchemist replied to Ketek's topic in Stormlight Archive
Well, if she is a worldhopper she may well have picked it up a long time ago, presumably a lot of shardblades have been lost/not accounted for since the disbandment of KR. -
But Jezrien was herald of the windrunners and he could only be on Roshar during desolations, not in between. Diden't the Knight Radients exist during the time of Nohadon?

Disappointed in other books
NeutroniumAlchemist replied to RadiantNights's topic in Stormlight Archive
He also got "inspired" (stole) from Tad Williams Memory, Sorrow and Thorn series! They share the same world with a sea to west from which humans came, a big magical wood with elves, mountains with dwarfs(trolls), classical orphan boy journeys on a quest, meets princess etc.. -

Crazy theory on Interlude:Stick [possible spoilers]
NeutroniumAlchemist replied to Funkylemon's topic in Stormlight Archive
Do we have a confirmation on all the characters with backstory the last 5 books will revolve around? I for one would be very interested in the origin of Stick
