I mean, it's the right place for it, but I'd say it is kind of in bad taste, given how correctness is such a big deal in cosmere theories. You don't just get to ignore Words of Brandons, you know? Joke or not, I'd say you definitely have opened the floodgate for being made fun of at the very least So, yeah, I think it's in bad taste to post it. Maybe the Cosmere Theories is a humorless lot, but we're dealing with a universe that really does have a right or wrong answer to a lot of things.

I am not okay with this sort of reputation abuse. The reputation system is not for game mechanics or forum mechanics, but to reflect the average quality of a post, as judged by the community. There can be a Mercenaries Guild (and my guild could totally be hiring ) but I am quashing using reputation for this immediately.

Snapping Is Only Required With Multiple Shards

Though while the Shaod seems like Snapping, it doesn't require trauma or a "damaged soul" (in the language of Surgebinding from the back of Words of Radiance). It comes suddenly. It is sort of like Snapping, but without the trauma aspect. Additionally, Harmony is kind of like a Shard, but it is still composed of two Shards. The language Brandon used is "a king of two countries is still a king". It would be interesting if eventually Snapping was unnecessary because of this effect. That might be a good way to test whether this theory is true, if we asked when Harmony was fully bound together (it's partial now, and would take effort to split Ruin and Preservation now, but I suspect the effect is not done), would Snapping be necessary. -
Or Honor and Cultivation at least. I doubt Odium would have invested himself in humanity. He came later, after all. It still does seem like a Realmatic principle that we haven't quite stated properly yet. Brandon avoids talking about Realmatics there, so there's clearly some deep principle here.

You have to realize that the essence of Preservation, combined with the warping of the body, is sustaining themselves. That's why they don't die from these. Interesting thought: if someone were able to steal attributes from another planet, maybe because they weren't charged with some power of Preservation, this could be an issue. Huh.

I do believe there is indeed a quote that says Preservation was directly responsible for the prophecies. Not sure where it is though...
