I went here and was very confused by its formatting, and it wasn't clear what you wanted people to do. Do that first, then have a section below for your featured members. I believe the cosmere sections should be optional on that template, so it should work okay. For most of the templates, you do not need to include all the parameters. I am also totally good with changing it to Lancing, as that does indeed seem like the more proper term. Thanks for the help

Five years ago on this very day, 17th Shard Forums was made. (For proof you can look at when I registered: http://www.17thshard.com/forum/user/1-chaos/) That initial launch was truly horrendous. I pray to merciful Harmony that you don't remember what the site looked like back then. But, as things progressed, the site got better. We moved to new software, which has powered everything, including our news module, for a few years now. Eventually, we became the official forums for Brandon, which still humbles me to this day that we actually do that. Not only that, but last year was the hugest year for us yet. Maybe you didn't know, but last month actually had the second most posts here ever, at 13,000. This has only been topped by March 2014, which because of Words of Radiance's release had 18,000 posts. I can only imagine how big the site will become in five more years, but I hope you love it here. The next year in particular will have some pretty cool stuff coming your way. And this month, know that there is not only the Coppermind's giveaway, but another big giveaway, too! Thank you, everyone. This place is yours, and you made it so awesome. Well, one thing I'd recommend for character articles is this: http://coppermind.net/wiki/Help:Article_structure/Characters It is the structure for character articles. So one thing to note is that Appearance and Personality are one section, so add that to the Leyten article if you want It is also good for seeing if you forgot some sections, and ideas for expansion. The tense is fine; history should be in past generally, everything else in present. I haven't looked too in depth on your edit but I liked it a lot!

Generally, you'd rather have more detail and prune it down than have too little content. But honestly, I think there's very few things that aren't relevant. Especially for personality traits. I would say that with the History section, that can be a bit tricky on what is too much, but in general, go for more. This is why character articles are hard to write, because there really is so much.

Yes!! That is exactly what I was looking for. I'm surprised it was so long ago that this happened, no wonder I couldn't find it in my trawling. Hey guys, I thought I'd make a general topic for people needing help finding a quote on a particular subject. I'm sure for many theories, you may search the interview database, but you just can't find it. I'm not entirely being altruistic, because I can't find a particular quote, and after all day of trawling through the interview database (I'm rewriting the cosmere article, so it wasn't just for this, but I did need to find... oh, about sixty references...), I'm a bit over it Windrunner and Weiry are pretty sure this is a fact. Namely, I am pretty sure there was some reference to magics being different on Sel after Devotion and Dominion's Splintering. Have I gone crazy, or does this seem familiar to any of you, too? If you can help, I would really appreciate it! And, if for any of your theories (or wiki articles) you need help on quotes, let's all work together! I'm sure it will go faster that way

Oh, you're so silly. We would never take away rep for something like this--heck, the only time rep is ever changed if there's rep abuse, or some other disciplinary action, I guess. So don't worry about it; it is never something you need to fear. I guess I can sort of understand why you'd feel this way. However, it is my opinion that half-breeds are awesome. Feel free to take that statement entirely out of context. I mean, Kelsier and Vin? Yeah, I'll be a half-breed, please. I suppose it is something to think about, maybe, but that is my opinion now.

Also, if you have no idea what to do, you can add to the book Summary pages! Those tend to need a lot of work!
