Shardcast: Dawnshard Prologue and 2020 WoBs Part 1

Things keep happening! We got the prologue for the Dawnshard novella, so we discuss that some, and then it occurred to us that we haven't talked about Words of Brandon in forever. There was even an event in the before-times of February! Also, a bunch of stuff from the livestreams. Next time we'll have more Words of Brandon, too!

Our cast today is Eric (Chaos), Ian (Weiry), Evgeni (Argent), and Marvin (Paleo). This episode is edited by the lovely Feather, who is just the best.

In WoR, with training with shardblades,  the ardent had some special blade blocks that stopped the blade from hurting..

Quote

“One Blade was long and thin, with a large crossguard, while the other was wide and enormous, with wicked spikes—slightly flamelike—jutting out of both sides along the lower third. Both weapons had protective strips on the edges, like a partial sheath.”

As a human being in 2020: yes, I mostly think about villains and Stormlight.

I was thinking something more mundane like a blade clamped flat sheath.  The sharp edge would not touch the sheath that way.

Cognitive realm in the United States? Big Macs. JK, in the West where I live it would be water. We think and talk about water usage and droughts a lot.
