Community Charity Stream Saturday September 16th


A YouTuber, TheBlueShifting, and other content creators are doing a charity livestream on Saturday, September 16th, from 9am Eastern time to midnight. The charity supported is Open Books, a Chicago charity to get kids to read. 

There will be various events such as a Cosmere Fashion Show, Cosmere Jeopardy, an Alethi Hair Tutorial, and Interview with Ben McSweeney, and more. There will be various giveaways as well. 

People joining TheBlueShifting are:

  • The Darkeyed Musician, who plans to give away three CDs of her music
  • Kate, a cosmere cosplayer, who will make custom calligraphy
  • David Fonti, who made this Stormlight film who will interview Ben McSweeney
  • Craig Hanks of the Legendarium podcast who will do a live podcast
  • Matthew Walther of Ascension Props, who will give away 3D printed Bridge Four symbols
  • Helen of Shire Post Mint, who will give away boxings from Mistborn (metal coins), which were designed by Brandon himself.
  • Holly Ready, a cosmere fan artist who will show some of her art

Botanica Xu will be sharing a look into her art during the stream from 10:00 - 11:00 am (Eastern). I will be showing some speed art videos and looking through her catalog. She will also be holding a live AMA on Reddit. I will add a link when we know where it will happen.

Thank you to everyone who joined us! It has been such a surreal experience being able to meet so many people. I am in the middle of sending out e-mails to the winners of the various giveaways and thank yous to everyone who donated. I had no idea what to expect but I think this was as good as I could have ever hoped for.
