Same here, but I also hope that movie fans are similar enough to book fans that it doesn't make too big a difference discussion-wise.

As a reader of the Murderbot Diaries, I do not have great faith in AppleTV's ability to adapt more emotionally mature works.

I hope that they don't cut major characters, just to add new side characters that die the episode after they were introduced for shock value. (Not Bitter at all)

Tbh I'm not sure if that would be a good thing. It could be like saying "we're better than you! We're the OGs!" And what about new fans who get into Sanderson independent from the movies?

Anyway what does it mean by "buys the rights"? Like that still means Brandon can make books, right? It's not like Apple owns the Cosmere? I don't rlly know that much abt this stuff so I'd appreciate an explanation. Does it just mean Apple can, like, make adaptions and stuff? Or are they gonna start selling T-Shirts and lunchboxes and whatever?

We already know some changes. Ham is going to be a women; Brandon has said he thinks thr dynamic will work better with Shan as Elend's sister instead of ex fiancee. So when you see that, don't be surprised.

I think the real thing to hope for is that the changes that have to happen will be good ones. LoTR is the movie adaptation of a fantasy trilogy and they changed a lot. Most of it was good.

Not me. I’m from the future. Actually, I didn’t even watch the Mistborn (2029) movie all the way through, I got here from watching all the Vin x Zane edits on TikTok they seem like such a cute couple :3
