“Psst,” Arkin whispered to Schevin. “I think Az has something to do with it.”

Au paused for a second, considering. “I can rip out his heart and eat it, if you want me to.”

"I could eat your heart, if you wanted me to."

"Not at all, nothing to do with missing robots."

“No, you couldn’t,” Arkin said seriously. “Ieli flesh is toxic to humans. And I’d kill you before you even got close enough to try.”

“I mean, I’m not sure I could say the same. Human flesh isn’t very tasty.”

“Anyway.” Arkin paused, and walked over to Az. “You sure ya don’t know anything about the robots?”

"You can trust me when I say that I would love to know more about them, but I don't. Trust me."

Azgard smiled, as humans did.

Azgard kept grinning, unfazed. He was still gripping his pistol, he realized.

Arkin turned in the direction the sound had come from. “So what do y’all think it was?”

"Something of a clunk," Azgard said, recreating the sound almost perfectly.

Schevin looked at E-IS. "I propose we leave them to it."

This is a good time for a space battle, is it not?

The ship suddenly tilted approximately 45 degrees. It immediately righted itself, thanks to the ArtiGrav systems, but Arkin knew immediately something was terribly wrong.

Oh no. This wasn't supposed to happen yet.

"What was that?"

“I dunno, but I don’t think it’s a good time to be in the engines.”

Azgard ran out of the room, following Schevin.

Arkin followed Azgard, holding tight to the pistol with au eik.

E-IS-315k raced outside of the engine room as fast as he could, and quickly reconnected to the com network.

"The ship has been attacked topside, we are to report to section SD5 and await further instruction."

"This way."

E-IS-315k began moving, calling an Innercab, and giving it their selected path for it to meet them along the way. however statistically they were unlikely to get one, battle crew woud take priority this early in the fight.
