lordofsoup Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 So I was reading the short Elantris story, and I came across the Aon Ati, and I was wondering what it meant, and if it had any relation to Ati, the former holder of Ruin?
CrazyRioter she/her Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 the Aon means hope, and I don't think it actually has anything to do with the Shardholder, although I invented a fun story about Ati and Aona being lovers before the whole thing with Adonalsium happened. But that's just me being silly.
Joe ST he/him Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 (According to a discussion I had with Eric/Chaos when I first read it) it is pronounced differently.
Dysphoric Kitten she/her Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 (edited) Reminder: the Letter (from WoK) states that "Ati was once a kind and generous man, and you saw what became of him". We are talking Ati here, NOT Ruin. I think there is an intentional connection, especially knowing the Sandersonian style. Kolo? Edited July 24, 2013 by Tal Spektor
aeromancer he/him Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 Hobey-ho. Sounds like some poetic irony to me.
Kurkistan he/him Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 This may be the most severe necro I've seen. Have a picture 3
