Cephandrius~Maxtori he/him Posted January 28, 2021 Report Share Posted January 28, 2021 Finally finished my long road of reading all of the major Cosmere works, so I decided it was time to make an account here. I can't wait to bug you all with questions and theories (I've got a lot of them)! Just a little context about me; I picked up Mistborn toward the end of elementary school (like 2010 I think) and really enjoyed the book, but hadn't yet discovered the rest of Sanderson's works. In 2016, I was reintroduced to Sanderson through my brother, who gave me The Way of Kings for Christmas, then ended up reading Words of Radiance and Oathbringer soon after. Starting in August 2020, I began a re-read of Mistborn and worked my way through the series, then followed it up with Elantris, Warbreaker, and a full re-read of the Stormlight Archive. I'm now working my way through the Arcanum Unbounded (though I've already spoiled most of it for myself from trolling around the Coppermind). Now that we'll be waiting a few years for Stormlight 5, I thought this would be the best way to sustain my Cosmere knowledge, and I'm really happy to be here! I wasn't sure about it at first b/c their powers don't seem nearly as exciting as some other orders, but after some thought I realized it was pretty spot on. I'm in college right now studying to be a diplomat, and apparently Elsecallers are usually envoys between the humans and the spren. The other favorite is Szeth; I get completely drawn in during his chapters and can't seem to stop reading. I don't mind at all! I'm specializing, technically my major is "international relations," with more acute focuses on Europe-America diplomacy and global economics. And for your other question, I really like Jasnah! It's nice to have a main Stormlight character with some Cosmere-awareness. She definitely provides a very unique perspective within the series and I think it's important to have as many clearly varying perspectives showing off this universe as possible. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
