About 10 minutes later, she was dropped onto a platform thing. She clutched her backpack close to her chest, and curled up into a ball. I'm going to die. I'm going to die. I'm going to die. What do I do?

Exactly. Just don't look straight at it.

Samba spun as a scavenger, of all things, was dropped atop a platform next to her.

Tilly looked up to see a blue dragon staring right at her. Well, I think I figured out why I'm here. I'm lunch. Dang it. Tilly looked around franticly. She found nothing useful, so she reached into her bag, and grabbed some spare machine parts. Don't think about your impending doom. Make something that will keep the dragon away instead. It's going to be fine, don't panic. She thought to herself.

Act like a SeaWing, act like a SeaWing!

Samba growled half-heartedly.

Tilly's face paled. "Oh dang. I'm dead." She slowly pulled out one of her newest chemical explosives. There was no way to use it herself, as she didn't have access to fire. She sighed, looking at the sphere of glass mournfully, and then stuffing it back into her bag. She didn't want to attract any more attention than she was already getting, so her guns were out of the question. "I'm dead." She said, wide eyed and terrified.

Polar watched as skywings deposited a scavenger onto a pillar close to him. The little thing seemed terrified and clutched a pack to it's chest as if it was it's only hope. Polar turned to the strange seawing who also seemed to be watching it. "You know, I never realized how cute these things are," He said.

What is the scavenger doing? Samba looked closer at the bag.

Tilly felt a bit relieved as the dragon shifted its attention to her backpack. Shakily, she pulled out a piece of paper that she had made herself, some ink that she had also made, and a quill. Even if she was going to die, she'd still try to learn as much as she could. Dragon's do not eat you right away, unless they are hunting. She wrote. There is a lot of diversity with color and body shape.

Do they write in the same language? I wouldn't think so...

Was the scavenger drawing? That was cute.

There are scavengers that read. Not necessarily on this continent, but there are some that can read.

She'd have designed her own way to write. She needs to be able to remember what works, and what doesn't.

Tilly finished her observations, rolled up the paper, and carefully put it into her bag. She then brought out some of her equipment, and started mixing different chemicals. This way, she might be able to survive for a while.

Given that dragons and scavengers don't comprehend the sounds the other makes as language, I'm highly doubtful they'd use the same script, let alone the same written language.

Samba recoiled at the smell. That didn't bode well... although it might do something useful.

Tilly kept working, and mixing the chemicals relaxed her. She worked as quickly and efficiently as possible, and was ready to mix in the chemicals that would cause the explosions at any time.

Monarch watched as some red and orange dragons soared into the air towards a white-blue dragon and a... What was that thing? It didn't have any scales, and it seemed to be... Hugging a bag?

So weird... I've never seen anything like it, she thought.

Tilly began to panic again. "No no no no no no no! I don't want to be eaten!" One of the dragons grabbed her. She was still holding onto her bag, although the paper she had used fell out. "NO!" she tried to reach for it, but she couldn't grab it fast enough. "Dang it." The dragon flew her into a large stadium filled with dragons. "What the freak?" she pulled out an explosive, and a chemical to make said explosive explode. She would need to time her escape perfectly.

Suddenly a flurry of wings descended on Polar. Skywings surrounded him and took off the shackles. "I guess I'm going to have to go to the area then?" Polar asked, "I don't figure there is any chance that Scarlet decided I was too awesome to hold captive?" The skywings ignored the terrible attempt at a joke and Polar shut up as they lifted him off the platform. He took deep breaths and tried to avoid looking down. Normally Polar was fine with heights. But normally, he could also use his wings. Suddenly he felt the sand in the arena under his talons and as the skywings flew away he got the first good look at his opponent. It was.... a scavenger!?!?!?!

Tilly groaned. "Seriously? Are you freaking kidding me?" She complained. She pulled her machine gun out of her bag, and reloaded it. "Don't come any closer!" She yelled, she hoped her voice sounded threatening enough to convey what she wanted to say, but knew that was probably too much to hope for.

Polar watched as the scavenger pulled a little metal pole with little protrusions on it. It looked kind of cute really. It squeaked at him and began to mess with the little pole. Polar didn't see any sharp parts on the pole, so he figured it was safe to approach. He started forward to get a closer look at what the scavenger was working so fursiosly on.

Tilly saw the dragon come closer, and aimed at the ground near it's feet. Then she fired a warning shot. "NEXT TIME, I'LL HIT YOU INSTEAD OF THE GROUND! GET BACK!" She yelled.

The scavanger pointed the pole at the ground in front of Polar, pulled on one of the little protrusion and suddenly a loud BANG ripped through the air and sand puffed up beneath Polar's feet. He stopped dead. What on earth was that? He wondered.

She cocked her gun, and aimed at one of its feet. She didn't fire, but gestured for it to step back.
