so after my brother read RoW, he noted that the anti-light rhythms send light away, and thought about the battle applications of this, including the ability to remove a fused or radiants light mid-battle! please share thoughts on this

True, it sends the light away from a gem containing the light. It might not effect a Radiant or Fused that have already been infused by the Light. If it does, then battles are going to drastically changed. And that would be OP.

It is noted that the rhythm needs to be very powerful to pull this off, so I don't think we will see too much of this put to use. It also seems to just cause pain to radiants and fused.

I could definitly see Navani creating some kind of gong that when hit plays the anti-voidlight rhythms. This could be real useful in the final battle of champions.

Radiants will just need to keep their gems containing stormlight in a sealed box (maybe made of aluminum, that makes it so light cannot escape. Also, I think having Radiants of the fourth ideal, who can place their gems inside their armor, and are also far less susceptible to these type of attacks will be key. Finally, After listening again to the end of the book, Odium is talking about terrible endings. Removing the fused that are insane by anti-void light makes sense. But his sane fused. I doubt he wants to risk them in pitch battle before the contest. Especially if he thinks he can win. Keeping all of that experience will be vital and give him a huge edge over the armies of other Shards. The only issue is, I think he is going to be very surprised at the the tech advantages of other civilizations. But I'm of the mind that magic beats tech.

Do you mean the battle of champions between Odium and dalinar ?.

I would think that would go against the idea of a 1 v 1 fight that they agreed to right

Easier solution: Teach Dalinar the anti-voidlight Rhythm and tone.
