“Stand still,” Ollivander instructed, pulling out a tape measure. It promptly began measuring Silk as the old man began explaining about how a wand chooses its wizard and that the perfect match is essential.

Silk frowned as the eager old man started buzzing around him. "Just don't measure my nose, it's embarrassing."

“Part of the process,” Ollivander responded, tugging boxes off the shelves. After another minute he snapped his fingers, the tape measure returning to his hand.

”We’ll start with this,” he said cheerfully. “Willow and Phoenix feather, 12”, swishy. Give it a try.” He offered up the wand.

George grinned. "No one knows why he needs to measure you before you try a wand."

Fred groaned. "Really George, really? THAT was the best thing you could come up with?"

As Ollivander offered wands to Silk, his magical tape measure began measuring Kelsier, then David.

”Curious.” The old man noted. “You aren’t quite alive, are you?”

Kelsier smirked, hazel eye cold. “Alive enough, old man.”

Ollivander nodded. “Oh, certainly that. But the wand... hmm...” He trailed off, returning his attention to Silk.

Silk tapped the wand experimentally with a spindly finger. Then pointed it straight at David "PchOw" he said as he gave it a flick, having absolutely no idea what would happen. I should of done more research he thought as a hot gust of wind left the wand, speeding towards its target. Hot wind? that's the best you could come up with Mr. Wand? Pathetic. "I have a feeling that this wand isn't quite right."

I nearly died when Kelsier called Ollivander old.

"What is PchOw supposed to mean?" Said Fred, with a grin.

Ollivander quickly snatched the wand away, handing over another and another building up a small mountain of wands. AlFufteen minutes later he handed Silk yet another wand. “Dogwood and phoenix feather, 9 and 5/8ths inches. Strong, but flexible. Give it a try.”

Ollivander clapped his hands, smiling delightedly. “Excellent, excellent! Do try not to cause too much mischief.

”Now for you,” he turned to David. “Mahogany and dragon heartstring, 12 & 1/3rd inches. Give it a try.”

"I'm a married man! I don't have time for mischief." Silk exclaimed. Besides, what I do far surpassed the bounds of mere mischief years ago, one cannot classify my art under the guise of simple mischief.

Did he forget that the twins are here?

Fred and George look confusedly at Silk. "What?" Said Fred.

Oh, I know. That was a very foolish comment on Silk’s part. Not that the trio care too much.

This is going to be a very interesting conversation. :D

Fred and George look at the three boys expectantly. "Are you going to explain?" Says Fred

Silk said it on purpose, just to confuse the twins and maybe make the trio grumpy at him for 'slipping up'

Kelsier smiled broadly. “Nope. Hey, David! You plan to wave that wand anytime this week?”

@Narcoleptic Axolotl

Fred and George both looked at Kelsier for a second "You are a total git." said George, sounding slightly annoyed.

Fred and George shared a look. Fred sighed, and decided to change the subject. "He sure is taking a long time." He pointed at David.

Sorry about that. My real life has been a bit busy.

Xanatos selected a wand and slowly lifted it out of the box. With a quick flourish, he pointed it at a lamp, which went dark and promptly started floating upward as if it were weightless. Suddenly, it crashed back down. "That doesn't seem right." Xanatos replaced the wand and picked up another. He figured he'd know he had the right wand when it produced an effect he intended. He waved this wand in the direction of the same lamp, which slid a few inches in his direction, then came to an abrupt halt. "No . . ." He tried a third wand. This time, nothing at all happened. On the sixth wand Xanatos tested, the lamp finally lit up again. By now it was almost unrecognizable as a lamp, but old Ollivander could no doubt fix it in an instant.

This wand was short, bright in color, and extremely well polished, to the point that Xanatos could hear a faint squeaking as he ran his finger along its length. It balanced well in his hand, and most importantly, it felt right. "This is the one."

Ollivander smiles, fixing the lap with one elegant sweep of his own wand. “Ah, yes,” he said, as he wrapped the wand, “Elm and dragon heartstring. 10 and 3/4 inches. Malleable, but with a strong core. Quite a crafty wand. It will serve you well I’m sure.”

"Took him long enough." Said Fred.

Ollivander turned to Kelsier. “You,” he stated, “are going to be difficult. Phoenix feather could work, but we may need something closer to the veil...” He trailed off, looking utterly delighted.

”Here. Yew and Phoenix feather, fifteen inches. Give it a try.”
