“Candies, jams -small ones-, little toys, Ganache’s chocolate...” Kelsier shrugged. “Whatever small things you find, I suppose. Anything that will fit in a pocket.”

Zola oohed. "Fun!"

Kelsier smiled. “I hope so. That is the point of this - doing something fun with my daughter.”

Zola beamed. "Where are we getting the things to put in pockets?"

“Right here!” Kelsier proclaimed, gesturing around the store. He reached up, plucking Zola from his shoulders and settling her on the ground. “Find some small items, then bring them by the front. I’ll pay.”

"Okay!"

“And get some for yourself,” he added. He could spoil her some before he left.

Zola waved at him as she took off into the store.

Zola grabbed some of this, some of that... and a random thing that caught her eye. When she got back to Kell, her skirt was full of little random things, including a little metal bar of pewter, a couple of marbles, and a little Survivor doll.

Kelsier took the items, piling them on the counter. He raised a brow at the doll. “They make these?”

"That one's for me."

Kelsier smiled softly at her, strangely touched. Would you want me to fix the eye, or leave it as is? He sent as he began counting out boxings.

"Hmm... make it look like you!"

Kelsier laughed. “Will do.” He cheerfully paid the cashier, taking his bag in one hand and taking Zola’s in the other.

"Now are we going to do the pickpocketing?"

“Reverse pickpocketing,” Kelsier laughed. “Wanna start with him?” He jerked his head at the cashier, offering Zola a chocolate truffle. “He looks like he could use a hug.”

Zola grabbed the truffle. "So I hug him and put this in his pocket?"

"Okay!" Zola rushed over to the cashier and hugged him tightly, secretly slipping it into his pocket.

Kelsier watched from the door, reclaiming his daughter’s hand. The door swung shut behind them, leaving the stunned looking cashier behind. Idly, Kelsier wondered if the man would realize that the ‘tin foil’ wrapping the chocolate was actually made of aluminum.

”Who next,” he asked Zola as they wandered down the street.

"Hmmm. Ladashwy?"

Kelsier tapped Connection, reaching out to Sage. “I think she’s asleep,” he told Zola. “Maybe pick someone else?”

"I don't think Eryn would like it. Can we save her for last? And do... Drae?"
