Meens rode away as the sun set, he paused for a moment to look at the setting sun. It was pretty, but looking at it reminded him, "Oryone, when Jonah is done, suicide him." Oryone paused for a moment, but in the end he nodded and rode away. Meens pursed his lips, he would be one to watch.

Question: Are either Oryone or Jonah Survivorists?

Maybe Oryone, I think Jonah will kinda worship death and destruction, so he respects Kelsier for all the destruction and chaos he caused, but doesn't worship him. Also, he would love torture.

“I suppose we’ll see, won’t we?” He smiled as he buttered a new slice of bread. “There’s a planet out there where the women are as tall as men here and the men are even taller. They’d find us really tiny.”

Ladashwy, who was taller then a lot of men in Scadrial, raised her eyebrow at that. So, would I be average height... Or.... She sighed, got up, and went to get some food. She came back with a plate of stew.

"Whoa! That's weird."

The Survivor chuckled. “It’s because our planet is heavier than theirs. If we lived there, we’d be taller too.”

"I'd like to be taller. But I like it here, too." Zola finished her stew.

“I’d like to go there,” for a moment Kelsier looked almost wistful. Then he smiled again. “But maybe you’ll go one day. And I’ll get there too.”

"Why don't you?"

“I can’t,” he said simply. “Not yet anyway. Not in person. Downside of being a god - we get stuck pretty easily.”

"That's not fair!"

Kelsier smirked. “I happen to agree. That’s why I’m going to find a way to do it.”

”Why you have us,” Eryn noted. “Go there for you. Find answer to Connection.”

”Exactly.”

"Connection? It's all right, you don't have to explain."

“I don’t mind.” Kelsier smiled fondly at Zola. “It’s good to be curious. We’re all Connected to everything and everyone. You to Ganache, Ganache to me, me to you. To our pasts, presents, and futures. It’s what makes us us. And part of that is Connection to our planet, Scadrial.

”Saze and I are more Connected to Scadrial than you because of the nature of what we are. He’s a Shard and I used to be one. Still am, a little. Your Connection is weaker so you can leave more easily than I. And Saze would have an even harder time leaving, because he’s woven into everything on the planet.”

Feel free to have that explanation go completely over Zola’s head. Kell likes to talk and will welcome her questions. Ladashwi should be very happy...

Ladashwy had by now pulled out a notebook, and started writing like a crazy person. "So, when you talk about connection, are you talking about what Duralumin Ferrings can do? I mean, they ARE called connectors."

Kelsier grinned at her. “You tell me. You’re the scholar; what do you think?”

Ladashwi is not eight years old. 8 year olds get complicated Cosmere explanations. Adults are expected to figure things out on their own.

She shrugged. "That's what I'm just going to assume until proven otherwise." She wrote that down, and then paused. "What the rust is a shard?"

“Ett,” Eryn said simply.

”He’s two, technically,” Kelsier noted, taking back his mug.

”Enough hint,” Eryn nodded. “Not child, Sage. Scholar job to theorize. What you think?”

The two continued their meal as they waited for a response.

"Uh..." She thought. "I'll be right back." she ran into her room, grabbed her notebooks, and put them next to her. She started reading things, and cross-referencing things. She started putting down information into her theories notebook, and started jotting down everything she knew about harmony. After a few minutes, she looked up. "Okay. Theory time." She rubbed her hands together. "So, you said that Harmony is two shards? I'm assuming you mean Ruin and Preservation." She put down her notebook, showing a messy, complicated looking diagram. It looked a bit confusing, but that was (mostly) because she was rushing. "So if that is what you mean, are shards basically Gods?" she continued before anyone had the chance to speak. "And you made it sound like there are more. Are there any on that weird world you were talking about?" How many of these shard things are there?

Kelsier smiled. “There are three there, though one is dead. And some call them gods, though having been one I’m not as inclined to agree. At least, the Vessels holding them aren’t. Pieces of a god might be more accurate, though how do you go about dividing infinity anyway?”

She nodded. "Okay. Three." she looked at him. "I'm more confused about how you kill a piece of a god, or whatever shards are, exactly." she got into her notes, and started thinking out loud. "Hm. I wonder..." She started scribbling wildly. "Do you, by any chance, know how many of these shards there are?" She said, slightly distracted. Ruin and Preservation seem to balance each other so well... Is there an even number of shards? If so, I bet they balance out. For every push, there's a pull.
