Eryn nodded. When Zola was reasonably clean she reinserted the plug and added more soap flakes, allowing the tub to fill again. “Now we do hair.” She began scrubbing the shampoo and conditioner into Zola’s tangled and matted hair. “Will need to get brush and scissors,” Eryn noted. “Wait here; can play with bubbles.”

Zola giggled: she'd already made herself a beard. "Look! I'm an old man!"

Eryn smiled fondly at her. “I see this, Elder Zola. I get you brush now.” She left the child to her play, getting a brush, comb and a pair of scissors. Then she returned to Zola.

Zola had camouflaged herself among the bubbles, dousing herself with them and lying down a little bit. She giggled.

Eryn smiled as she entered the room. “Oh no,” she said, pretending to be worried. “Where is my Zola? She disappeared. Maybe she jump out window?” She went to the tiny window and pretended to search the street below.

“Ah!” Eryn cried, feigning surprise. “There you are. Naughty child, to hide from me.” She laughed, settling herself beside the bath. “First I cut worst parts. Then I brush. May hurt some,” she warned, “but look nice after.”

Eryn nodded and began carefully removing the worst knots from Zola’s hair. Then she added more conditioner in and began untangling the knots as best she could with her fingers.

Drae walked into the room be deigned as his with the tray of food he had collected from the mess hall. He gently pushed the door open with his heel then froze in shock, there was another figure in his room. Drae dropped throat which landed with a clang on the ground, the figure had been spiked through the eye and was displaying the gruesome set of scars lining his arms; it was The Survivor.

When Eryn had done as much as she could with her hands, she reached for the brush. “I am sorry child,” she said, as she brushed, trying to make the process as painless as possible. “But you have much knots and I do not wish you to be bald, ja?”

Zola forced a giggle. "I'd look funny bald."

Ladashwy heard a loud crash, and frowned. What the rust was that? She walked toward Drae's room. "Uh, are you okay?" She said as she saw Drae standing in front of his room.

She was already outside of her room. There is NO WAY she wouldn't have reacted to that.

The Survivor winked, pointed a scarred finger upwards, and then seemed to vanish, leaving only misty trails to indicate that he had ever been present.

Kelsier won’t talk to Drae if Ladashwi’s there; he wants to talk to him alone. He didn’t technically vanish; just moved too fast to see.

Oops. Well, she WOULD have reacted... I try to stay in character.

"Uh, Drae?" She poked him. "What's wrong." she looked at him, confused.

I mean, I can get pretty dang close... but no.

Zola winced. "You nearly done yet?"

Eryn nodded. “Almost.” She pulled out the plug again, the restarted the tap. “I rinse hair now.”

"Okay. Can I help?"

Eryn nodded. “Shut eyes and tilt head back. This way no soap in eyes.” She began rinsing Eryn’s hair, soap, conditioning oils and dirt washing away under the water’s flow.

Zola did what Eryn said and plugged her nose too.

After a few minutes Eryn decided that Zola’s hair was as clean as it would get. It was still knottier than she’d like, but she’d rather work on that slowly. No need to torture the child. “All done,” she said cheerfully. “Towel is there,” she pointed, “and clothing. Tomorrow we buy you new. I go now, and you dry and dress.” So saying, she left the room.

"Drae? Are you in shock?" she looked into his room. There wasn't anything unusual... She sighed, went into her backpack, grabbed her water bottle, and dumped a little bit of water onto his head.

Eryn raised a brow as she reentered the main room. “If Drae need shower Zola almost done.”

"I think he is in shock. I don't know why, but... well," She gestured to the platter on the floor, and the unmoving Drae. "He is unresponsive. I thought that the water might help him."
