To me it was one of the most interesting parts of RoW but I haven't found to much info about it. It reminded me of the relationship the Reshi's have with the greatshells.

When the Everstorm came, it healed their minds as it did for singers all over Roshar. 15

We know that the Tai-na bond some mysterious spren (referred to as their "soul" by the Reshi) besides the regular mandras
