Also, did anyone else see zahel dropping major hints that he is from a different system, aside from fighting using Breaths?

Well, Thaidakar is from Scadrial and he’s Mraize’s boss. I take it you haven’t read Mistborn. The GBs are a Cosmere spanning organization, but their earliest known incarnation was Scadrian. Zahel is from Nalthis, where he goes by many names. Azure is from Nalthis, too. You should read Warbreaker...
