With what kind of non-physical creature is this contract? A spiritual one? An Idei? Maybe something else entirely?"

Minuet chuckled quietly and stepped out of the shadow, some apples and cheese in her hand. "Here you go."

He hesitated. "It's a demon, isn't it." He said, then sighed. "I promise not to tell anyone without your agreement. I'll write it in my notebook probably, but in a language no one around here will understand. And I won't show it to those who will without your permission."

Cara jumped and let out a little squeal. "So, you're not a ghost...gotcha." Cara said, trying to act like a person suddenly appearing didn't just startle her. She hopped off her horse and accepted the shiny red apple and delicious cheese. Mouth watering, Cara snacked on the food. "Thanks," She managed, food still stuffed in her mouth, "Where are y'all heading?"

"When I was very young, I entered into what is called a Contract with a demon who hadn't given himself up to one yet. There were rumors--there were always rumors of a few demons in the surrounding areas who would accept Contracts if they saw the potential for something they wanted in their futures. I believe they have some degree of foresight, but they refuse to divulge anything.

"I am bound to him, he resides in some other realm, I presume, but he lives in this one through me. He needs me to go on this quest, and he won't tell me why. Otherwise, I would not be here.

"As for powers, I refuse to use them and never have until now, so I wouldn't know anything about them. It is for personal reasons that I don't, though I do know that usually people around me get a little unsettled at first. That might just be due to his presence."

Talnic sighed, looking the new girl up and down. She was snacking on an apple and some cheese that Minuet had given her, and seemed to have no idea what had happened only minutes before.

From her conversation with Minuet, however, she seemed like precisely the type of person Talnic would hate interacting with. However, she was here, and wanted to join their quest...

Just so you know, Talnic has a thing against entertainers. He sees them as inconveniences who are as untrustworthy as they come. And he's had a bad experience with one who sold him out once.
