Gal was relieved. Things didn't turn very ugly after all. He then turned to Orpheus. "Excuse me, do you have mental powers? Related to scaring people?"

Gal looks at him skeptically, noting a violet glow slowly leaving Orpheus' eyes.

"Powers like that, from how I know them, tend to affect the user personality." He says gently. "It won't be surprising if, assuming you have such powers, you will be a little paranoid about that. I knew someone with such powers, and he tended to jump at every shadow. He could be very dangerous at times. You should be ready for aftereffects of magic system, whichever they may be, and aware of them."

He stopped for a moment. "I understand if you don't want to share, but something did happen. So if you don't mind, I would like to know what."

He leads Owlson off the trail a little ways, downhill, until he comes across a rather large stream. He was about to speak when he noticed a young girl fishing, with a horse nearby.

Orpheus was startled. "I'm sorry. Can I help you?"

Cara sighed. "Yes, I am bored. I am also very tired of eating fish. Do you have any food I can eat?" Cara asked.

"Up there," Orpheus said, pointing back where everyone else was.

"Thanks! I'm starving. See ya later!" With that, Cara packed her fishing rod, jumped on her horse and rode off in the direction that the weird stranger pointed in.

"I... I don't have any powers. The powers are not mine. They are..." Orpheus drew a breath and remained silent. He couldn't say it. He couldn't share his secret. He was so close.

Minuet could tell someone was riding up the path by the clattering of hooves. Worried that it might be more of her uncle's soldiers, she drew a dagger and stepped into the shadows. Sneak attacks were the best kind.

The figurative turned into the literal as a wave of fear crashed into Chrys. She could barely stay up as she felt the largest amount of irrational fear she’d ever had. She started humming to calm herself down, trying to do anything to keep the fears away. The humming turned to soft singing as she looked up and saw the others in the group who were paralyzed with fear. Gathering up her courage she pushed through the fear, her instincts to protect overriding her negative emotions. I don’t know how well this will work against this, but I have to at least try. And so she sang to the young blonde who was close to tears. She sang a song of strength and courage, a song that would slowly work its way to a call to battle. Faro, let this work. 

Ara sat up, still shaking, but not from fear, anymore. Memory whispered panicked in her mind. “I’m... okay...” She had to put on a strong face. She didn’t want anyone to worry about her.

Shakily, Ara stood, making her way over to Minuet and Shadow. “What was that?” Both of them looked visibly shaken, too. “Are you two alright?”

Minuet studied the person. They seemed well-meaning enough, but that could always be faked. "What's your name?" she asked. She wouldn't be seen, which could help. But it was worth giving her position away.

"Hmmm." Says Gal, looking at him with a thoughtful look on his face. "A non-physical entity, then? Not giving powers, but uses them from within you. Some sort of a possession?"

Recalling that Orpheus not long ago asked him about demons, he says: "I don't mean literal demons. There are many kinds of non-physical entities, and some of them chose to possess someone, letting his consciousness remain in control for most part, though some are more dominating."

Cara looked around and frowned. Nobody visible said anything. Was it a ghost? She heard tales of ghosts, but has never actually seen one despite her constant traveling. "I'm The Floater! I float from place-to-place entertaining people." Cara called, searching for who spoke to her. "What's ya name, ghost?"
