Friendshipspren he/him Posted November 22, 2020 Posted November 22, 2020 So szeth mentions his dad , mom and sister and his dad was the holder of Ishar's honorblade. So was he truthless too ? Was the entire family condemned to be truthless or onky szeth. Or do they have a honoured position as wielders of the Honorblades. Szeth , while at the skybreaker fortress, reminesces fondly of his youth spent training with Honorblades, and that seems to imply he was familiar with the Honorblades before becoming truthless. So do his sister and mother have honor blades too ? Is his dad alive ? Taravangian claimed Neturo was dead but Ishar said he hasn't killed him but Neturo could still have been killed by others under the influence of thd Unmade or in some other manner. What do u think ? Let the speculation begin. 1

Hmm perhaps but he does say he trained with them in his youth From OA chapter 98 page 2 Quote Szeth drew in Stormlight and Lashed himself into the air with the others. Though he didn’t care if he won arbitrary tests of competence, the chance to dance the Lashings—for once without needing to cause death and destruction—called to him. This would be like those days in his youth, spent training with the Honorblades. I think he might have originally been trained to keep it with honor before becoming truthless. +Czernobog Posted November 22, 2020 Posted November 22, 2020 Szeth was made Truthless when he said that Radiants were returning. Szeth separately mentions his family being "given to the Honorblades". There is a lot of Investiture in the Honorblades, and we know that Investiture left lying around begins to form a mind of its own. I think the Shin are bestowing the Honorblades on their citizenry to keep that from happening. That selection is likely viewed as an honor, and not a punishment. 1
