There's been a lot of talk that the Mink might be a traitor, because his military advice is going to bring Dalinar and Jasnah away from the tower... but I really hope that doesn't turn out to be the case.  Because I've been in love with him since his OB interlude, and I really want him with us on Team Honor, sassing the Alethi and doing random escape artist stuff. I'm going to be sitting here biting my nails until I get it confirmed  next week that he's, sure, Cultivation's champion and Lopen's ultra-cousin and also Rosharan Batman (Larkinman?) for good measure.

I think the Mink has a backstory that involves either the Nightwatcher or bonding a spren. His ability to escape is not just something he's learned along the way.

And I'm nearly certain that fighting in Emul will turn out to be the best choice. Where they fight isn't all that important for the safety of Urithiru. Alethkar or the moon would still leave Urithiru just as protected (or unprotected). And Emul is closer to Urithiru than the other options. And I don't think Odium wants his forces to win every fight. He wants a war of attrition, not a rout. Killing everyone gets him nothing. Having Big Bad T agree with the rest gets T some "maybe he's not working for Odium" points. I think the fight in the west will go well,

Zatalef-man would be the closest Rosharan analogue to Batman. (a Zatalef is a bat-like cephalopod from one of the Reshi isles. I think that the name comes from the hebrew word for bat, "atalef.")

As long as RoW ends with Dalinar burning Big Bad T's eyes out with Oathbringer (thus reviviig the dead eye ;-)  ) I will be happy, nay, elated. As they say in the Army, five days and a wake up left.

I dont think the mink is a traitor. I think hes a general who chose the best tactic with the information given. But the fact that Mr. T agreed with the assault is to get the bondsmith and elsecaller out of the tower so they have a chance to mount their attack.

You don't think Dalinar and Jasnah would have gone to the battle for Alethkar had T suggested that?

Taravangian doesn't care where they are, as long as they leave Urithiru.
