Bearer of all agonies he/him Posted October 20, 2020 Posted October 20, 2020 I know a lot of people have been talking about this in Sharder memes, so I decided to make a thread. Talk about experiences you’ve had with famous people!
+ILuvHats he/him Posted October 20, 2020 Posted October 20, 2020 Pretty sure the only famous person I've met is Brandon at the Skyward signing. Actually, I have "met" Scotty Pippen. I know literally nothing about basketball and the NBA, but I as far as I'm aware he's relatively well known in those circles. I think he played with Michael Jordan on the Chicago Bulls for a while? Anyway, I went to golf camp in middle school as a representative from my golfing group, and he was one of the instructors there, strangely enough. The extent of my interaction with him was that he gave me a few tips at some point. So I didn't so really meet him, but I did interact with him.
Chasmgoat he/him Posted October 20, 2020 Posted October 20, 2020 oh, My dad worked at Starbucks and had some really famous wrestler (not sure who) as a regular.
revelryintheart she/her Posted October 20, 2020 Posted October 20, 2020 I met Elder Gong! (Apostle of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints) I was in the choir for a Face-to-Face event with him and afterwards we got to go shake his hand. (Don't even bother trying to find me in the choir though you can't see me at all). But I am in one of Bonnie H Cordon's FaceBook posts for the event (I took a picture with her) so I guess you could try to find that and guess which one I am hehe
Nathrangking he/him Posted October 20, 2020 Posted October 20, 2020 I had occasion to meet a world renowned religious scholar on more than 1 occasion.
FriarFritz Posted October 20, 2020 Posted October 20, 2020 I think my friend took a selfie with Zac Efron. In my Winds class last night we had a guest speaker who's played trumpet in like half of the major motion pictures since the mid-90s. I'm taking bass lessons from Norm Stockton, who played for Lincoln Brewster.
dannnex male Posted October 20, 2020 Posted October 20, 2020 My bass teacher’s friend played the bass part in the Jaws soundtrack. daaaaaaa Da daaaaaaa Da daadadaadadaadadadadadadada
Ghanderflaffle she/her Posted October 20, 2020 Posted October 20, 2020 I have met a large amount of country music artists. My dad can get free tickets to a lot of concerts because he works at a local radio station. Off the top of my head, I’ve met Aaron Watson, William Clark Green, Cody Johnson, Turnpike Troubadours, James Lee Band, Eli Young Band, Casey Donahue, and Eric Church held me as a baby.
I Am A Fish he/him Posted October 20, 2020 Posted October 20, 2020 I may or may not know a US presidential nominee... Won't say which one.

Bearer of all agonies he/him Posted October 20, 2020 Author Posted October 20, 2020 The less you know, the better.
Smye Posted October 20, 2020 Posted October 20, 2020 After my SURREAL experience on Who Wants to be a Millionaire in 2016, I had the opportunity to grab an espresso with Giada De Laurentiis who happened to be filming for a celebrity special on the same day. She was even smaller than I'd thought and was very nice, promptly ignoring her 'handlers' insistence that she didn't have time to sit down with me for a moment and chat over coffee.

In Nebraska my brother's birthday is a (unknown) state holiday because my parents were friends with the governor. (I don’t remember which one)

Bearer of all agonies he/him Posted October 20, 2020 Author Posted October 20, 2020 What who wants to be a millionaire? Spoiler
Smye Posted October 20, 2020 Posted October 20, 2020 Yep, Chris Hanson was also pretty nice - though getting shoved into a custodial closet during the lunch break for the production team was odd...
Nathrangking he/him Posted October 20, 2020 Posted October 20, 2020 My father was once pen pals and has also met Wayne Gretzky does that count? 1
