Hoid the Former Drifter he/him Posted October 13, 2020 Posted October 13, 2020 How did she escape the ship? Did she soulcast a dead body and then transfer to the CR? if so, does this mean that like dalinar, she can create a perpendicularity?

Weltall Posted October 13, 2020 Posted October 13, 2020 Yeah, she kept herself alive with stormlight healing and then jumped into Shadesmar to escape. The Surge of Transportation creates a temporary Perpendicularity that allows inter-Realm transfer, while Dalinar doesn't create one but is able to open Honor's Perpendicularity. 1

This is a key distinction. Elscalling can pinch realms enough to allow a person to transition between the Physical and Cognitive realms, but it does not provide all the functions of a true Shardic Perpendicularity, most notably it doesnt pierce the Spiritual Realm enough to provide a font of Stomrlight the way Dalinar's trick does.
