She reached inside and pulled out a pistol triumphantly. "That'll come in handy," she muttered, tucking it into her lab coat. "Now-" She was interrupted by the door behind her exploding as a giant red beast crashed through.

Ayia spun around, pulling out a full sheet of metal from seemingly nowhere and Stabalizing it in midair. The beast slammed into it, but didn't make it through. "That'll hold it a for a minute or two. What the heck is that thing?"
