"Okay, go ahead then."

"Very well." The man grabbed a few garnets off a side table, inserted them into a metal glove-like thing, then put on the glove and placed his hands tenderly on Harmony's arm. "That doesn't hurt too much, does it?"

"No, not at all!" she reassured him, rather eagerly.

The old man concentrated for a few seconds, and then the wound started mending itself. The split bone became one again, and any remaining bacteria died at the healer's touch. The wound didn't close, however, though it did become significantly less nasty-looking.

"Hmm... like I said, I don't have much magic left in these things. If you clean that every few hours or so, you'll keep the wound from becoming infected again, and it should heal itself in... say, a week?"

"Okay, thanks. And water works?"

Spark wandered in, having been momentarily overwhelmed from the sudden influx of new emotions. The townspeople weren't too suspicious, which was fortunate. This old man was merely feeling kind. Seemed like a good town to live in.

Spark smirked from the pure enjoyment Leonas was getting out of this, but they had to admit Harmony did have reason to be frustrated.

Harmony rolled her eyes and turned to Leonas. "Fine, fine. You were right and I was wrong. Oh, and thanks, doc! What do I owe you?"

"Nothing moneywise... though if you would like to join the village around the bonfire tonight, well... we're a very small town, and we haven't heard any good stories in a very long time."

"I don't have many good stories, I don't know about Leonas here. If the rest of our group is all right with it, we'll stay!"

"Yeah, yeah. He's just happy 'cause you told him he was right. Thank you, though."

Leonas opens the door for her to leave.

"Thanks," Harmony said, smiling. She walked out and looked over the town.

"So you do have a story? Wonderful, I'll look forward to it." Harmony laughed softly.

"Did you miss the we part?"

"Me?" Harmony asked incredulously. "I don't have any stories to tell that wouldn't send kids to their mothers."

"You seem like a resourceful person. I'm sure you can improvise as well as I can."

Harmony groaned lightly. "Can't wait for tonight."
