Been reading Hero of Ages here and there since last month.

Third book of the first trilogy its good but im already getting burned out on Mistborn.

All Vin ever did since the first two novels is her jumping around from roof top to roof top. That and everyone in the books going through metals like they were candy.

Well, there is great stuff in the books, but vin gets involved emotionally in the second, and a lot in the third. What are you looking for in a book?

So Sazed turned into God from the way the book implies at the end?

Sort of. He is Ruin and Preservation, and will now be called Harmony, so if you would consider those two to be gods, then yes.

Jasnah would call them very powerful pieces of investiture made sentient via bonding with a mortal mind. Or a very unusual type of Spren.

So while Sazed turned into God, he wasnt able to resurrect Ven or even Elend but he only managed to reattach Elends' head to his body? ok sure whatever.

That the best Brandon Sanderson could do for the ending to the last book of the first Mistborn trilogy?  Stephen King writes better endings than that. Even any sci fi author for any  Star Wars book they end things right

Sazed wasn't actually God, he's...god. BIG difference comes from capitalization. He made Elend's body physically whole again but lower-g gods can't get the spirit back after it goes away is basically what happened. I understand your viewpoint having just read the first three mistborn books, but once you learn more about what's happening behind the scenes and read his other books, you'll start to realise what can and can't happen.

Secret History explains a bit more.

Spoiler

Vin could have been returned, but wanted to go with Elend. Even Elend might have been returned, but he wanted to Go Beyond. Also, Saze was only just figuring out what he could do, so may or may not have been able to do it. He offered though.

Kell probably suggested to Saze that telling the Scadrians that their heroes didn’t want to come back wasn’t a good idea. Giving them a new hero was a very good one though and, hey! Isn’t Spook just perfect?

Only Kell actually wanted to come back. Saze said he couldn’t do it. Sazed is a very bad liar.

Sure, leave only Spook, breezy and their  so called royal girlfriends. That and the  Koloss and the Kandra that are still wandering around

Again: Vin and Elend wanted to go Beyond. Kell is still around and causing trouble. Saze lied (badly) about being unable to bring him back because... Kelsier.

Spoiler

So Kell got Spook to help instead. Because... Kelsier. And then went on to rule the South... because Kelsier.

An astonishing amount can be explained by ‘because Kelsier.’ Or as Brandon put it: “I know I said he wouldn't come back, but . . . well, he's Kelsier. He doesn't listen to what I say. He just does what he wants.”

So it was Spook, Breeze, Ham, Beldre, Alriane, Mardra, Ten Soon, Marsh and Kelsier... and Sazed, of course.

First era Mistborn has the craziest world building twists. When taking the first three books together, I felt the world was the main character...and it twists and turns until almost the last page. The world starts outpacing everything else by book 3.

I had an opposite reaction to the OP. I was a little underwhelmed by mistborn at first and totally blown away by the end of era 1.
