I had forgotten about that reading. That makes me really excited. And now I want to see how Lift and Kaladin get along. And Lift meet Hoid.
Requiem17 she/her Posted July 3, 2020 Posted July 3, 2020 Hmm minor questions I'm wondering about... 1. When Gaz's eye heals, will it give him some sort of extra sensory power? I saw a theory that it will be able to see into Shadesmar, and I love that idea. 2. What happened to Dreamstorm, the horse that bucked Kaladin I'm WOR? And on that note can Rhyshadium hear the rhythms? I want to know what all the spren look like in the CR vs the PR!

Liss could be any one of the 3 unknown female heralds. I'm putting my spheres on paliah We don't know that Taravangian is either right or telling the truth about Dova being Battar, it could be any of the female Haralds except Shallash or not at all (but likely). We know it can't be Ash and Chana doesn't really fit with what we know about her, but what she's doing fits as a corruption of Loving/Healin, Wise/Careful, or Learned/Giving. Dova could be Paliah, Battar, or Vedel easily. If Paliah IS in the Palanaem, then it's unlikely another Herald is also there unless we learn that either Battar and Paliah or Vedel and Paliah were like sisters or lovers or best friends or something and they always go together. I like Vedel for Liss as Liss slips into the cracks of society and is able to change how she communicates similar to what we know of Edgedancers. It would be a good corruption of Loving and healing to be a selfish, cold blooded, mercenary killer who killed for pay. Edited July 6, 2020 by thejopen27 1
GeoMantrix Posted July 23, 2020 Posted July 23, 2020 I'm going to ask a question, then review the thread. In "First into the Sky" Sigsil (sorry about spellings, I'm old and use Audible) says there are four religions in Bridge 4. Vorin, Azish, and he brings up the Passions as a fourth but I'm not sure what's Third. Horneater? Herdazian? He brings up Teft's as a possible fifth but that's the Evisager splinter sect, or firemoss addiction, FWIW.

ScadrianTank he/him Posted July 26, 2020 Posted July 26, 2020 My questions are mostly about the issues brought up in Oathbringer, so here I go. Who's helping Sigzil with the scribe duties in Bridge 4 now? How was Oathbringer the book received by the public? What was the reaction of the elite, especially in the nations with heavy Vorin worship? Did any important man learn to read to show support to Dalinar or in defiance of the church? Sebarial had some sort of scheme to tax the Oathgates. Did he manage to implement it in any way, since Navani gave the privilege of Oathgate regulations to Thaylena? Did the Alethi make any big structural changes to Urithiru to help deal with the plumbing problem? Have they managed to make any of the towers mechanisms work, with the Sibling sleeping and all? The synopsis for the RoW says that the coalition fought for a year, but how are the armies supplied (and deployed for that matter)? Did any member nation set up temporary garrisons on the ally borders or do they march straight from the capital most of the time? Are the casmfiends actually going extinct?

Anadan Posted July 28, 2020 Posted July 28, 2020 Hey, I'm new here! Sorry if this is a topic that's been discussed. I'm on a reread; anticipating November. I'm on Words of Radiance, and it's occurred to me that Kaladin has never mentioned the Thrill, while everyone else does. I know an unmade causes the Thrill, but was Syl with him from the very beginning of his time in the army? Had anyone asked Brandon this question? Thanks!
