As he moved forward, she decided to dodge to the side, and slash at him.

He pivots away from the blade, then steps into the space it had just occupied, and snaps his foot out to catch Camille's ankles.

Craven walked around the camp, looking for Camille. She was interesting, and he wanted to learn more about Breath.

He doesn’t have to find them until the end of the fight, continue as you were :P

She yelped as she tripped, and then turned it into a roll, hopping up quickly. She got back into a defensive position.

She's good at that, Martin thinks.  Especially for a teen.  He shifts back and forth for a heartbeat, assessing.  Then rushes forward again in a tackle.

Camelia quickly dodged to the side again. "If we were enemies, this would be way easier." She complained.

"It would," Martin agrees as he rolls and comes back up.  Sparring is tricky in ways that combat isn't.  He can't do Reese's move - he's too tall to pull it off.  He moves forward again, grabbing for her wrist to make her drop the rapier, and that's actually really ironic.

She grinned. "You don't grab at an awakener."

What's he wearing? I need to know what she can awaken.

That's an... odd choice of sentence.

Kinda vaguely military looking clothes, cargo pants, canvas jacket.  All of it made out of durable, dull-colored material.  Greens, browns.

She grabbed at the jacket, trying to get a good grip on it.

Martin steps backwards instinctively, missions and training and reality overlapping.  Making him slow.  He pivots again, going for the other wrist.  If he can get her arms pinned...

She grabbed his sleeve. "My breath to give for life to live." She said quickly and clearly. "Hold things." She pictured the arms wrapping around his body, immobilizing him without choking him.

This should work, unless he can get the jacket off fast enough.

Nope, nope, nope.  Martin takes a step back instantly, put distance between yourself and target when compromised, shrugs one arm out of the jacket, goes for the other, too slow.  He can't move his arms.  His pulse is racing, and the pressure on the base of his skull is back.

I think that's what you were going for.

Yep.

She rushed over to him, trying to tackle him to the ground. She had grabbed her rapier again.

Martin tests his mobility (near zero), and plants his feet, taking the tackle and going for a modified version of the Dagger's Fall, using his legs to lock around Camille's torso and arms much the same way that his jacket sleeves are currently restraining his own upper body.

I will never stop being amused by giving characters Black Widow style moves.

She instinctively bit him. Why that was instinctive was unclear, but it was.

And I am going to bed. Bye.

"Can't blame you for that one," Martin sighs.  He's had worse.  Could be his hand.

Okay.  For later: did the hold work?  Are they both immobilized to some extent now?

Uh... Knight of Iron is back with Zlatt, a guy who can kind-of sort-of see the future, and Camelia and Martin are sparring.

Yeah.

Also, I don't actually remember posting that. And I came up with a reason why she did it. It's actually a pretty good reason.

Her face reddened. "Sorry. I had deja vu there for a minute." She was extremely embarrassed. That didn't stop her from digging her elbow into his side though.

Martin grimaces.  He can't really get out of this.  He's pretty well stuck.  "You want to call it?"

"Sure. Just..." She grabbed at his jacket awkwardly. "Your breath to mine." She grinned.

"Thanks! You're good too." She said happily. Her face then reddened again. "And, uh, sorry for biting you." She said her face was bright red. "I had a flashback of a time someone grabbed me as a child. I bit the person, and was able to get away. It was a good thing too, as that person was practicing the Jeskeri Mysteries..." She shuddered. "That would not have gone well." She was, at that point, distracted. She had gotten a bit lost in thought. She then stood up. "Honestly though, you don't grab at an awakener." She said with a grin. "Especially if they are an enemy. We awakeners have more options when fighting enemies. Including strangling people with their own clothing."
