that's a good question! Maybe Kaladin or Hoid, Lightsong is also amazing and his name is so beautiful. Jasnah is also one of my faves. How about you?

 

Ah- I absolutely love Lightsong. Kaladin might be my favorite in TSA, though.

I just remembered Wayne and I'm mad I didn't think of him earlier. Kaladin is an obvious favorite character for most, I might also have a small crush on him...

I have a 'lil complaint about Lightsong. Brandon, while great, doesn't writer his humour all that well. Or Shallan's for that matter. It often feels forced, when they make lame jokes that we're supposed to perceive as wit... but I can suspend my disbelief. However, I really enjoy Wayne and Lopen's humour, I think that's a kind he's very good at writing.

Lopen!!! Now I am imagining bridge 4 banter and that makes me smile. Yeah I see your complaint about humor, I usually do find it funny, my problem with Shallan is less her twisted bad humor and more how her "wit" is presented at first and everybody agrees she's actually witty (?!) but I just don't see the wittiness in her

Yeah, it feels forced, but for the sake of the character, I'm able to suspend my disbelief. His Bridge 4 banter is amazing, though- Rock and Lopen's drinking contest? major lols

I have to say about Shallan, I’m pretty sure that’s on purpose since she gets called out for it multiple times in the books. Not being incredibly witty is part of her character. (A lot of what she says still earns a snort from me, though.) Are there any characters in Elantris you love?

Yes, you are right about Shallan, I am glad she gets called out on it too. My favorite character in Elantris are Hrathen and Kiin!

My least favorite... I don't want to badmouth White Sand too much, but Kenton makes me cringe a little. And Kelsier gives me the creeps sometimes. And Moash... I hate Moash so far, but I hated Elokar too and now I do not, so lets see.
