Bejarden he/him Posted May 23, 2021 Posted May 23, 2021 (edited) So about that RP How bout this Place: Spoiler Vax Location: Spoiler Cosmere 3 magic systems all Genetic 1: Aethers Spoiler people have aethers that are a mutual parasite on them that feed on the nutrition that they get from food In return the person gets one of three certain power either 1: The ability to grow a hard crystal into any shape (depending on power of the individual) 2: To have vines grow rapidly from you 3: Regrow any lost body part Aethers are innate, and mostly depending on the place you are born is the type and strength of the Aether Aethers are born 1/10 in a normal population and are considered a higher class of people Aethers have their own schools and can have a say in public affairs Aethers can be stolen through Hemulurgy 2: Alchemists: Spoiler These work very similar to a Furechemy magic system, an Alchemist can create a potion like healing, or hurting, that sort of thing and it takes a toll on them, if the healing potion heals a small cut, the Alchemist who brews the potion receives the cut when the potion is finished, Hurting someone hurts you.... These affects can be avoided by getting sufficient Connection to another person (personal belonging of high sentimental value) and it gives the pain to that person instead This has lead to a great mistrust of Alchemists and they are not allowed in many cities and mostly live in outskirts and forests Alchemists are born around 1/20 but a vast majority never know they are one Alchemy can be stolen through Hemulurgy Nicknamed: Bloodsealers 3: Seers: Spoiler Seers get constant visions of the future that they cannot control, Little is known of what they see only that they see glimpses of the future Their ability is incredibly unreliable due to other seers constantly changing the future Seers used to keep to themselves in forests secluded from other populations until a hundred years ago or so now Seers are not viewed as people in most big cities and are used as objects for the owner as a fortune telling device or danger warder It is almost impossible to find a Seer above 30 since the vast majority go mad before they reach that age This is a recent change (50-60 years ago) and it is unknown of why it happened Seers are a direct genetic line from their parents even so there are incredibly few of them but due to a breeding program 70 years ago there are much more than there used to be Seerdom can be stolen through Hemulurgy I would like to get some feedback on this even if we don’t use it Edited May 25, 2021 by Bejardin1250 Added to Alchemists

Thaidakar the Ghostblood he/him Posted May 25, 2021 Posted May 25, 2021 same as Bejardin, I will make mine in the next couple days. 1135.
Bejarden he/him Posted May 26, 2021 Posted May 26, 2021 (edited) Ok few things I’m adding a few things and changing a few things to the Magic System to fit more with Cosmere I’ve edited the OG magic system to change the rate that a person with an Arcanum is born I added a lengthy explanation an Alchemy which I plan on making my character, so if you have any questions just ask me Quote On Vax the Ground is suffused with Investiture being constantly replenished by its Shard Isolationism, an Avatar of Autonomy. The way it works is Ground has Investiture Plants use nutrients from ground, animals eat food from Plants, Humans eat animals Every Magic system uses Investiture in a different way. Aethers use the Investiture in the food to fuel itself and the more Investiture you have the bigger Aether you can grow Alchemist are very interesting and this will be a much larger explanation since this is not explained in any book A potion must be boiled (very cliche I know) and can either be sipped or splashed on someone to work Every potion requires a Connection to a living being Via Investiture. The more Investiture the being has the more powerful potion you will get. (This can be controlled to take less Investiture then the being has) So Plants have very little since they don’t gain any more than they need (can make a little effective potion) Then Animals, since they eat the plants have more since they eat when they need to but don’t ever use it (moderately affective) Humans have the most for the same reason but there is an exception with any Human with an Arcanum (magic) since they are using the Investiture they get (Large affectiveness varies on age) Back to the business, what an Alchemist can do is Leech the Investiture from any living being and imbue it into a potion, an Alchemist can only use one beings Investiture per potion So a plant in a healing potion can heal a small cut, an animal can heal a bruise, and the average human can heal a large gash, but not life threatening unless it is a extremely large man or incredibly old with no Arcanum These drain the beings incredibly and whatever the potion does the opposite or effect is done to them (Healing make them sick, Damaging hurts them, Murdering kills them [This is only able to kill another person if the original contributor of Investiture has an equal or more life force of the person the potion is used against, if it doesn’t nothing happens]) An Alchemist is also incredibly drained after a potion since their Investiture is drained a bit due to their proximity It can take years to gain back the Investiture that you have lost back an Alchemist can’t retain the Investiture they Leech only imbue it A Potion when crafted, using Intent and Command and some boiling water and the Investiture of the being draws on the attributes of the being it Connected to ( a healing potion makes the plant whither greatly, an animal is heavily injured, but a Human get very sick, everything is proportional to the potion and an accomplished Alchemist can make specific level potions drawing on less Investiture that the being has) What also can happen is that an Alchemist can Key the Potion to a specific person by adding an object heavily Connected and has a strong Identity to that person (it is imbued with the Identity of the person because of the value to him)into the potion (This is removed after the Potion is finished but the Connection and Identity no longer remain) That potion can only be used on the person it Identifies with, if this is done, the reason they might do this is if the Alchemist either doesn’t trust the person they give it to, or they don’t want it to be sold on the open market, or doesn’t want it to be used on them ( it is very complicated to do this since you have to be able to determine an objects Connection since if you add an object randomly that doesn’t add enough Identity the potion may fall apart) Alchemy is incredibly complicated and hard to do (it’s not ingrained to Leech Investiture it’s taught) all Items have to be exactly proportional and if it is even slightly off the potion drains the Connection but the attributes are lost. Seers are still mostly the same just using Future Sight 1135 Edited May 27, 2021 by Bejardin1250
Bejarden he/him Posted May 27, 2021 Posted May 27, 2021 (edited) Quote Ok so I’ve never actually done an RP before so this will be my first shot Just tell me what I’m doing wrong and I’ll fix it Character Sheet Quote Name Spoiler Vadin Gender: Spoiler Male Age: Spoiler 17 Arcanum: Spoiler Alchemist, he also has multiple Hemulurgic spikes that gives him every Aether, but he could only use them very sparingly to conserve his Investiture Profession: Spoiler Alchemist, Hemulurgic expert, has enough money from selling a few potions to strangers, to last a short time History: Spoiler When he was 5 years he had an abusive father and a alcoholic for a mother, after a particular bad beating he left his house and ran to the woods After traveling for many hours he met a man, this man had an angular face with sharp blue eyes. The man understood what Vadin had gone through and took him to a cabin in the woods. When Vadin asked who the man was and what he wanted from him, he simply answered “Midius,” So Vadin grew up, Midius cultivated Vadins Alchemy making him extremely proficient in the arts, and he also taught him how to fend for himself, additionally he also gave him a small book with a Hemulurgic table to practice with. Vadin has killed multiple times though he would not tell you that and you would never know it from his personality, he did not do it in self defense but two reasons 1: For the option to use Aethers 2: Because Midius told him that he would be nothing if he couldn’t kill to achieve his goals Vadin immediately regretted this and told Midius that if he needed to kill again he would not Now Midius has disappeared only leaving a small note saying he would never return, that Vadin was a failed experiment, and Vadin is once again left alone, but this time he knows what to do Personality: Spoiler Quiet ,smart and contemplative, Enjoys mind games and anything that challenges his intelligence Very paranoid slow to trust Vadin walked to the nearest city, Food and shelter he thought, that’s the most important thing He knew he shouldn’t be worried, he had spent weeks alone before this wouldn’t be any different. He saw the city gate as he approached, Rust and Ruin he swore they have a Seer. This would be more difficult than he had thought He approached the Wall Guard amiably, “How are you good sir, I’m looking for entrance into your for a few days” he called out The guard scrutinized him closely obviously sensing something was off about this young man, “Diana,” he said slowly , “Will this boy be trouble during his stay” Vadin quickly interceded “No need to get the poor Seer into this as well, good sir. We all know they can use all the rest they can get” “Diana,” The man pressed, The women on the left heaved a loud sigh and stared into Vadin eyes, she suddenly started to shake, “Danger,” she choked out, “This boy...will be bring great dangerrrrrr” She then started to decend into muttering, talking about death and destruction. Cheery. The guard stared Vadin down, “Go” he said forcefully, “Don’t make me hurt you little boy” “Ok ok” Vadin replied, “ I’m going” he walked off back onto the main street When Vadin was a distance from the gate, he suddenly dashed to a section that didn’t have any entrances or guards on it, just a large looming wall Well, he thought, guess I have to do this the hard way. 1136 Edited May 28, 2021 by Bejardin1250

Profession: he works as a mercenary to do various jobs currently he is on a job to assasinate the King of Ardonia a small kingdom wherein the characters are now (hope that's okay) History: when he was ten he ran away from his home and a group of Bounty hunters took him in and trained him, he now works with them a lot but he now works mainly alone. he also is very close to Jaden, a member of the small group of Hunters. Personality: he has a short temper, but otherwise is known to be rather pleasant with others, he is very aloof but knows to keep his eyes open. Jerom leaned against the door of the wall fingering a knife he had in his belt, he watched a young man about his age ask the guard if he could pass "fool" whispered Jerom. he watched as the man go towards the wall as if to climb it. Jerom remembered that his job was not to meddle with civilians but assassinate King Sereven Quintiles of Ardonia, but the man was climbing towards him so he was going to talk to him wether he liked it or not so, he better start the conversation with style, "ho down there, you climbing the wall or what? I can lift you with an aether if that's easier for ya." 1137 Edited May 28, 2021 by Thaidakar the Ghostblood
Bejarden he/him Posted May 28, 2021 Posted May 28, 2021 (edited) Vadin Immediately turned at the sound of a young mans voice so, the easy way it is then He moves as if to say yes to the boys offer but instead took something out of his pack and threw at the boy trapping him in his step, an immobilization potion ”That will hold you for 5 minutes” he called up to him him, using some of his own precious Verdent to lift him to the boy ”and you have exactly 3 to tell me who you are and why I shouldn’t kill you and just take that Aether for myself” @Thaidakar the Ghostblood Quote I forgot to add this to my character sheet but Vadin is very very paranoid Edited May 28, 2021 by Bejardin1250
Thaidakar the Ghostblood he/him Posted May 28, 2021 Posted May 28, 2021 (edited) Jerom smiled and laughed. "I see you are a verdant bond as well then." he looked at the man and then continued, "well the reason you should not kill me Is my friends." he lifted up his pendant and said, "we in my group have a pool, a pool invested with future sight, ya see we just grabbed a few seers and some spikes and some messy business I would not like to mention." he shuddered slightly and continued, "and we spike the sides of the pool, then we send some flows of investure into it and boom, an seer pool, but the other reason why you would not want to kill me is." he pulled out his knife, it had a small ball at the end made of glass yet it glowed black, well not glowed, it more of was like a black whole sucking in until there is a nothingness left. "I can kill you in an instance with this, aswell as the gods." he smirked at the man and tucked the knife away. 1139 @Bejardin1250 Edited May 28, 2021 by Thaidakar the Ghostblood

One he couldn’t afford to waste. Though this man could pose very little harm to him, he had in fact been trained by the best “How about we avoid this messy ness and take a walk” and now it won’t look so suspicious when I leave the wall Vadin gave him his most winning smile,”Drinks on me” Quote This will become quiet dysfunctional if we keep on threatening each other The reason I did it first is because I...was being stupid and it’s late where I am 1040 Edited May 28, 2021 by Bejardin1250
