Ascended Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 Is each orders glow while consuming stormlight different? If so does it match the gem their order is supposed to represent? If yes will their strength increase if they only use storm light from that gem?

A Knight Radiant from any Order can use Stormlight from any gem, using their own associated gem for this purpose has no discernible effect. Edited February 26, 2020 by Dreamer

The glow is the same from descriptions. We have seen no indication of strength increase via a specific gem. It only seems to matter for soulcasting.

So far the only times the gems seem to come into play is with Fabrials, Soulcaster or otherwise. Some of it is a holdover from an earlier draft. Originally every order was going to have limited Soulcasting (similar to the way every order gets "limited" healing, compared to those with the Surge), but would be restricted to their Order's accociated Essence. He said he chaged it because it felt like they became too similar.
