Division seems to only be used to turn thing to dust and smoke but I feel it would have other uses this is one of the things my brain puts together, I think this probably would be possible, Cultivation in particular would probably think of division this way.

Division works by splitting molecular bonds so... no, I don't think you can make it work that way. Well, not unless you're looking at something like a sea star with regenerative abilities where a separated part of a body can regenerate into an entirely new organism. It definitely wouldn't work for most organisms since Brandon has said that even in a perfect bisection, the soul of the original being would jump to one half or the other and regenerate under Cosmere healing. So using Division and then Progression on something that can't regenerate naturally wouldn't multiply a living thing.

If division works by splitting molecular bonds then yeah it would work that way.  Just split the DNA of an individual cell just so and you get self division.  In practical terms the replication of cells is a difficult undertaking and more difficult to do correctly so no I do not think that is a good way to do this.  That being said the correct use of division has many applications.  You can make excellent sculptures and engravings.  Also correctly breaking the right kinds of bonds allows for a lot of fun chemistry.  You could get some nice synthesis going if you know what you are doing.

I think it should work, biologically speaking. The consequences on the other Realms of existence, we don't know, but I think it will either work out or there should be a method to make it work out
