While we are not currently aware of the situation on Taldain Scadrail has been known to host a verity of worldhoppers who enjoy the lack of military conflicts and high level of culture, technology, and leisure enjoyed by Scadrail's people. Worldhoppers are known to have quietly aided Scadrail's scientific community for example. It would not surprise me if several of those worldhoppers came from Taldain which many years ago enjoyed the highest level of technology we have seen in the cosmere. Honorless he/him
In the Final Empire era, there had to have been people who were aware of other worlds, in order for there to be trade that we've been told happened primarily via Ruin's Perpendicularity aka the Pits of Hathsin Edited January 16, 2020 by Honorless
Weltall
Welcome to the Shard! As a general statement, people on any given world are not aware of the existence of other worlds but certain individuals or groups might be. The Five Scholars from Nalthis for example were aware of other worlds, the aforementioned people from Final Empire-era Scadrial who were involved in interplanetary trade would have known (and Rashek knew via his Ascension) and the Ire from Sel at least are aware of other worlds. But Scadrians generally or Taldaini generally are not aware of other worlds, at least not by the points we've seen so far. The only location in the Cosmere where we're certain the general public is well aware of the existence of many inhabited worlds is Silverlight, which is a city in the Cognitive Realm where people from many worlds live together.
