Queen’sWit she/her Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 You know when you’re listening to a song and you realize you’ve had the lyrics messed up the whole time? The first time I listened to “Stitches” by Shawn Mendes I thought at a certain point he said, “Chicken, farting onto my knees,” https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=VbfpW0pbvaU Skip to 01:09 if you want to hear it. Have any other funny misheard lyrics? 3
Lunamor she/her Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 In the Nirvana song Teen Spirit, it sounds like he says “I’m stupid, and potatoes!” and “It’s just you and me now, and potatoes!” I’m not sure what he actually is singing
Truthless of Shinovar he/him Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 Toto's Africa: "There's nothing that a hundred men on Mars could ever do" when it's really "There's nothing that a hundred men or more could ever do" 2

There was a song I listen to when I was younger. It had a line that said “teaching peace.” I always heard “teaching peeps,” though. It was only a few months ago that I learned the song wasn’t about educating sugary candy chickens. 1
Vindo Posted September 6, 2019 Posted September 6, 2019 An old song by Eskimo Jo that got lots of radio play when it first came out. I thought the song said "I cant remember the point I fingered" when it really says "All of us stand and point our fingers"
Kualo she/her Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 I always was cracked by Amaranth by NIghtwish xD It's "Caress the one The never-fading rain In your heart To tears of snow-white sorrow Caress the one The hiding amaranth" After some jokes I heard, all I hear is: "Carrots that wander, never fading, raining. You're hard! And Jesus' snow-white Zorro! Carrots that wander, hiding m&ms in a lamb" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GdZn7k5rZLQ
Wyndlerunner he/him Posted September 21, 2019 Posted September 21, 2019 In Fall-Out Boys' song 'Centuries', there's a specific line that has never really been revealed. Everyone debates whether it says "Here's the frozen proof", or "Here's the frozen fruit"
Queen’sWit she/her Posted September 21, 2019 Author Posted September 21, 2019 In the song “Cheerleader” by Omi, I thought the line was “Oh, I think that I’ve found myself a jellyhead,” when really it was cheerleader.
Zephrun’s Imperium they/he Posted September 21, 2019 Posted September 21, 2019 I always sing that song, "Oh, I think that I found myself a Lightweaver." Because Adolin. 1
+ILuvHats he/him Posted October 28, 2019 Posted October 28, 2019 (edited) Every time I listen to Elton John's "Tiny Dancer," it always sounds like "Hold me closer, Tony Danza." I like to imagine that the two led a secret romance, and the studio forced Elton John to change the title of the song. Edited October 29, 2019 by ILuvHats 2
