Karger he/him
Grace from shardcast loves to talk about the Puuli interlude connecting it to just about every theory on the show. This got me thinking as I reread Oathbringer and got to that portion. In a recent reading of S4 Venli mentions that the fused know how to build towers that highstroms can't blow down for some reason. Puuli mentions that his lighthouse has stood for a good century. What if the purse of the interlude was just to show us that correctly constructed towers could survive highstorms somehow? Ethan_sedai he/him
IIRC, the lighthouse is only two stories tall. Since the towers mentioned in the Stormlight 4 reading are much taller, I don’t think that this is a very close connection.
ScavellTane
Quote Had the time finally come, that his grandfather had warned of? The time of changes, when the men from the hidden island of the Origin at last came to reclaim Natanatan? Quote They’ll come with Light in their pockets, Grandfather had said. They’ll come to destroy, but you should watch for them anyway. Because they’ll come from the Origin. The sailors lost on an infinite sea. You keep that fire high at night, Puuli. You burn it bright until the day they come. Quote Venli smiled more broadly. “I’m simply persuaded. We must wait. The storm will blow the wrong way, after all. Or is it all other storms that have blown the wrong way, and this one will be the first to blow the right way?” The wrong way? “How do you know? About the direction?” “The songs.” Aimia. Larkin.
